I bought one last Saturday and received it today (Free shipping). AWESOME!!!!! Super Quiet, and all my old hoses fit. Glad to put that old, noisy Shop Vac in the barn.

My 20 yr old shop vac 4 gal finally died and I bought this one. It is very large but it is very nice and very quiet. Well made and solid. Only complaint is that the wand is not detachable from the hose so I have to buy another hose just for connecting to my tools, that is annoying.

Picked one of these up last year, it really is a good vac even if it weren't quiet, meaning the performance is good. That you can hold a conversation next to it is amazing. Also, the wide broom nozzle is without a doubt the best shop vac accessory I've used; it works fantastically, most of them are just garbage.

Thank you sir. A question: what if you wanna vacuum sort of mixed stuff, for example dirty water mixed with leaves or something, or a bit of water plus sand: would you recommend to keep the bag on?
@JoeTheDIY Жыл бұрын
Man, I really need one of these. Maybe a good quiet dust collection option.

It's a very quiet machine. We were highly impressed with performance and noise reduction.

I don’t use a second filter with a bag. I would have been interesting to see a comparison of the vac suction with a bag and filter vs a bag with no filter.

I've got a pretty good shopvac that I bought over a decade ago and it works great. But, it is LOUD. It gets pretty annoying. I may look into this and keep the old one as a back-up or to use for the really nasty jobs. I think this is hard to beat, especially for the price (which will undoubtedly increase after all of these high-praise videos make them even more popular). Great vid.

I got mine yesterday and I’m happy it’s quieter than normal vacuums but if you’re looking for a leaf blower this is not the vacuum it does not have that option but I did not want a leaf blower anyways it’s really powerful and will pick up just about anything. Happy camper.

So glad you're happy with it. This vac is very quiet, but yet still performs very well. Thanks for watching.

I feel like the decibel reader method you used was inconclusive. Would like to see a more trustworthy device for a product like this. Otherwise, great review as always!

Agree, 85 is too high for speaking. Close to needing hearing protection. It did seem like a pretty quiet vacuum in all the other tests tho. Loudness seems like a tough thing to show on video.

I wonder if the dust extractor hose and attachments would work with this. Maybe not the remote power switch, but at least a more flexible hose and smaller adaptors for sanders, mitre saws, etc.

Although the 20' power cord is good, I would like a flexvolt version of this shop vac.
@Ken_Koonz Жыл бұрын
Yes! I absolutely hate having to wrangle cords.
@bossmanz28 Жыл бұрын
1 or 2 flexvolt battery option would be perfect. Wat i mean is will operate off 1 but has a 2nd battery option for extended runtime. Dewalt is doing this with their snowblower and a vac would be a good tool for it as well

How often does this go on sale? $129 just for the vac itself without many detailing attachments is steep

Keeping in mind that this machine cleans mostly dry material, there should have been a volumetric rate test say in CFM or L/s. The machine is quiet but the one thing that concerns me is it sounds like a household portable vacuum motor (like that used in a Shark or similar machine) as opposed to Ridgid's design that uses a full-sized vacuum motor. The high pitch makes me think this and it may only have a short life compared to other machines. This machine also lacks a blowing port and that limits its abilities a bit as well. Ridgid machines have a huge volute that maximizes airflow and also efficiency. Granted, the suction's only about 50-60 inches of water but most of the time people will be using it for dry debris pickup.
@McBoogerFart16 күн бұрын
Why do you say this machine cleans mostly dry material? That’s up to whoever is using it, not the vacuum itself. You can use it to exclusively vacuum water if you want. As for the longevity of the motor, Dewalt actually claims that it has a three times longer lifespan

I just looked at this unit on Lowe's website - the hose is not the same. What's up with that? I'm sure the one you tested in much better than the all black version on their site

That's a good point, but we wonder if it might be louder with a metal container. More reverb, where the existing plastic is more of a sound deadener/absorber. Just a thought.
