all lakes around my house mostly suck. occassionally catch a 5 fish limit, but the biggest bass ive pulled ever around here was 6.10lbs which is yeah very nice, but the average bass is only about a 1lb and i get stuck catching them for days until i maybe hook something bigger.

@gunsndrums110 жыл бұрын
too bad it will die now becuase he bent the head over like that, always hold a fish vertically with it at a 90 degree angle or hold it sideways supporting the body right before its tail. still a great video anyways though
@IvanBFishing9 жыл бұрын
The way a bass's jaw is structured is that it can handle its own weight, so it wont die. Holding a bass buy its mouth doesn't harm the fish at all.
@gunsndrums19 жыл бұрын
Actually it does harm the fish anything 2lbs and over can't support their weight on their jaw. Better just to good it vertically or support the body with a wet hand while holding it horizontally no matter the size to make sure it will survive and can grow bigger
@theunluckyfisherman48459 жыл бұрын
Ivan Brawer I'd like to know who told you that, you probably shouldn't listen to them anymore. Holding it by the jaw is ok if you support the belly of the fish like gunsndrums1 said, but a lot of people like to wrench the fish off to the side because it makes for a good pic. Unfortunately sometimes (especially on the bigger fish) this can break or dislocate the jaw. They will have trouble feeding and could possibly die. Treat your fish with respect so that others can enjoy the sport aswell.
