Cheers for the video. Fishing in Sydney is expensive, with the use of lure and rods to use them, and the lures them self. I used to fish fresh water in England, with worms, bread and maggots, and my Grandada old rods. It was cheap and cheerful.

Does anyone know if there's any other difference between the old 993ss (EVA handle) and the newb993ss (cork handle)? Apart from that, can someone tell me if these rods can still operate with fast jiggs if need be, or are they limited to slow jiggs and nothing else?
@TeamKingiesFishingCrew Жыл бұрын
This is what Gab from ISO.Fishing Lifestyle said: The blanks are the same, different guides. You can use the rod for also casting minnows and you can use fast jigs and work them with a shorter pitch action.

Hey Team, Can you tell us the strength ratio you put for your leader line for rock fishing? For example, say on a 50lb or 65 lb braid?
@TeamKingiesFishingCrew2 жыл бұрын
Depending on the location. Generally we would go 10lb heavier on the leader in comparison to the braid. But we would go heavier leader if the location has more structure.

I'm thinking of getting a rod to compliment my Nessa XR for when I need to throw something heavier than 30g and with high distance. Do you think the 993 SS or 103H BL would be better? I normally jig the beach and I think maybe the firmer BL will be easier to keep contact with a jig cast past the breakers. Thanks for the video. Wish there was more english shore jigging content.
@TeamKingiesFishingCrew2 жыл бұрын
It really depends what your preference is. The 993 SS is lighter, but the 103H BL can handle heavier jigs. Personally I would go with 103H, but best you test both rods. Good luck

hi guys, daiwa certate lt or sw for sydney rock fishing? 9ft6 rod pe2. cheers
@TeamKingiesFishingCrew Жыл бұрын
Depends what you're targeting. If you're using pe2 rod, then it would be 5k reel, which has to be LT. The SW is minimum 8k which is pe3.

Good information 👍🏻 Would you say this level of gear ($$$) is a must for shore jigging? For those who are starting out who don’t have hundred’s to spend or the occasional shore jigger are there cheaper options/recommendations?
@TeamKingiesFishingCrew2 жыл бұрын
We've used cheaper Shimano rods with cheaper metal jigs and have caught fish. Note this was during summer fishing seasons. The rods just needs to be over 9ft and has a faster taper, meaning it needs to stiffer, so avoid soft plastic rods.

Love the Palms 993 shore slow. I still need to christen it though 🤣
@TeamKingiesFishingCrew2 жыл бұрын
Nice, what are you pairing it with?
@TheMeiruntu2 жыл бұрын
@@TeamKingiesFishingCrew lol for the meantime I've been using this old old opus bull but the gear ratio is a bit too slow for that style of fishing. I lost most of my old fishing gear so I'm slowly building the collection back. I need something with a higher gear ratio for it though. Maybe the saragosa 8000HG because I want at least 300meters of 30lb on there
@TeamKingiesFishingCrew2 жыл бұрын
@@TheMeiruntu The 8k Gosa might be a bit too heavy for the rod bro. Test it out first and see how it balances with the rod.
@TheMeiruntu2 жыл бұрын
@@TeamKingiesFishingCrew thanks for that, will do. I liked the 6000 gosa and the tech behind it but I saw it fit just short of 300meters of 30 pound braid which is why I thought 8000 but if it's a lot heavier then your right. The vanford is really light. I have the Sustain FJ 2500 on my light gear setup and absolutely love that reel. The drag sounds amazing and is so smooth. I gotta go down and fit em up to try em out.
