The cylinder thing stretching into the sky is the Tethys System, which is a supercomputer with mysterious qualities. No known energy source, no processor, it just is. It's the thing Camellya mentions briefly, you can also find mentions of it in the in game lore; for example the Tethys System is what instructed Aalto to recruit Encore to the Black Shores. There's also an article on WuWas official website posted recently that talks about it. It projects its data into the sky which looks like stars, and that's basically what Shorekeeper's ultimate does as well so there's some connection there. Perhaps it's the thing that created Shorekeeper.

From the trailer and her Resonance Liberation, I think her power not come from Tacet Mark, but from some energy we don't know yet (From Livestream they called it Remnant)

Well we already know about Remnant Energy, but it's still a bit vague. Tacetite Weapons (weapons that uses yellow crystals, practically any Post-Lament weapon that we see in the game), Tacet Fields etc. have sth to do with it. I don't remember what exactly, but hey, we will get a true glossary in 1.3 so we should probably got some clearer explanation. Also if you go to WuWa website you can read an article about Shorekeeper there and I will only say, be prepared for a lore bombs ;)

My friend theorizes that the rover is actually like the mastermind of the world (not god) but the master mind. Like he lets the lament happen cause he wants to play the hero. Then. He rewinds back time and lets the lament consume the world. And again and again he rewinds time just because he can and as he likes. The shorekeeper, knows that it is becoming more and more harmful for the world, then does something when the rover tries to rewind back time again, she wipes the rover's memory so he can learn of what's happening to the world and fix it. But still, the rover is shorekeeper's partner in every time and anyway. She just hopes that this time the rover will know and finally learn the meaning of "life". Well that's it, if i'm not wrong 😅 my friend, she's a theory enthusiast lol

@@naya4050 that's quite interesting theory actually. But what if.. what if something something like lament is happened in the past and rover actually saved the world by sacrificing her/himself. Then the god saved rover and help rover recovery. But the lament happened again and the world is going to be destroyed if no one stop it and the god cannot help but force to wake the rover up with side effect that rover's memories gone temporarily.

@@anjaspratama3342 THAT'S WHAT I THOUGHT TOO AT FIRST! but hear me out, when the 1.3 trailer came Shorekeeper's line said something about "...... for what you've done. Goodbye" and THEN my friend theorizes that. And somehow it makes sense for me. Oh and i forgot to tell you, my friend says that the rewinds are always to the first time rover's story starts in this world, which is in the black shores, both with the shorekeeper. But her interference of wiping rover's memory made the rewind only make him come back to the middle part of his journey, so the lament's already happening etc. Hence that's why "our first story" when we woke up is in Guangzhou, where yangyang and others found us.

About Shorekeeper's identity.. I think she's Gaia, or "Mother Earth", as it's been hinted she's actually millions (maybe billions) of years old. I believe she's made of the Remnant Energy or "memories" of the planet itself, like a naturally occurring Sentinel, and that once Rover found her through their crazy strong resonance ability they gave her this duty to maintain the Black Shores. This made her feel at peace, as she could finally help her "children" and that allowed her to solidify her physical form on a more permanent basis, giving rise to the woman we see here as "The Shorekeeper"

I can't help but feel like the "OH MY GOD, FEET! NEURON ACTIVATION UNGA BUNGA!" gag has gotten to a point of actual mental illness on the internet. Like dawg, we all got feet. You can express a lot of personality by the way a character stands and how they move their feet. It isn't innately sexual. If you can't see normal-ass feet without getting turned on, that is a you problem, and one that borders on being a legitimately diagnosable psychological complex. Emotional character moment? I saw feet so I have to shatter the mood and make monkey noises. Bit of innocent character expression? I caught a brief glimpse of toes so I have to talk over the next eleven lines of dialogue to tell chat to calm down about the tootsies. It's _ridiculous_ and not funny in the slightest. This isn't directed at you specifically, Age, moreso at the internet in general. You're the least egregious offender, honestly.
