I loved my Shorkie so much, she lived 13.5 years. A very sweet & energetic dog. I would definitely recommend a harness on any small dog, that was one thing no one really told me but they can choke easily. I am not sure I will ever get another dog but if I do it will be a Shorkie, they are a lot of fun. They don't shed but they do need to be groomed pretty often (worth it to me).

My shorkie, Zoe, recently passed away at 14 (would have turned 15 next month). She was a sweet and energetic puppy. Most people she met were surprised by her age as she still loved going for walks and meeting people. Highly recommend this breed.

Our family loves and adores our Shorkie, Sparky. 🐶 He looks exactly 50/50 Yorkie and Shitzu, with the head of a Shitzu but smaller, and the body of a Yorkie. He’s weighs in at 9lbs of cuteness. 🥰 He was solid black as a puppy and now at 6 years old he’s a mix of mostly black and grey with tan highlights. He’s very affectionate and loves to cuddle in our laps but he is also such a protective watch dog. If someone comes to the door or even walks past our house we get to hear about it from him. 😮 He also chases away any pesky squirrels 🐿️ or birds 🦅 from our back yard because to him they do not have our permission to be on the premises. Ha ha! He loves his three human brothers and sister and has been so great with the kids. He loves walks, car rides and trips to Home Depot. He’s a very happy and spoiled little guy but we like him that way. ❤ I would definitely recommend a Shorkie to someone single for companionship or to a family for a fun friendly addition.

We just got a new shorkie puppy. He's 7 months old now. He is all the things you say: playful, energetic, sometimes stubborn, smart, loving. Ours is white and he is a very good looking doggie. He loves walks, playing with his toys, swimming in the lake, and snuggling.

I normally had German Shepherds but am too old now so I just got a Shorkie and she is a fabulous little dog.She has a bit of Pomeranian and Mini Schnauzer and Dachshund as well.Her ears were up but flopped as shes teething and I hope they go back up.They are great little companions.😊

My Shorkie is a Sour Patch Kid. She is sour and then sweet...naughty but nice. Lawd, I wasn't ready for her high energy and stubbornness..🤣😂🤣. But she is so full of love. She is also very good with babies and young children...I was surprised at how docile and calm she gets with them. But my favorite part is she is so pretty. She looks like a Teddy Bear and her cuteness melts my heart every day.

I have a Shorkie that is also mixed with Wire Hair Terrier and she sheds a lot, that may be the Wire Hair Terrier side however but she is also very stubborn

Does he sleep in your bedroom? Freely. Or in a cage? We have a Westie Poo and he’s quiet all night. We trained him a lot but he learned and is a great rescue dog for us. Thank you for your help

They can be barky but only if they see small animals like squirrels or birds, lol. Other than that, they're not super barky; at least my lil Casper isn't.
