Actually, I think why the doctor is passionate about his job is because 80% of kittens are born on the street. It’s VERY important to spay or neuter your outdoor cats, and doing a ‘Catch, Neuter, Release’ is what lots of places do to stray cats! It helps cats :>

@@Rin-qj7zt well it's better than mass euthanizing. And doing nothing is would be an even worse situation for the cats. Instead of thousands of cats dying (hopefully) painless death, you would get thousands of cats slowly starving to death as over population leads to over consumption of the natural food supply. And yes it is in theory possible for there to be a balance, but cats are _very_ prolific hunters and more often then not wipe out food supply before it is able to recover. Cats aren't suppose to be were 99% of them are found. This is our fault, well our less informed ancestors', but you get the idea. It would be nice if a better solution was found. But until then, neutering causes the smallest reduction in quality of life for the animal. We can't exactly prescribe contraceptives to them. Another thing: I can't say for sure, but I'd be willing to bet we don't use the word "castrate" because that's more specific to males. Females don't have testicles to remove. "Neutering" is just a more general term. I could be wrong on this.

(Forgive me for reading too far into an animation) I think escaping from the doctor was the best case scenario, even if the result ended the same. It seems like the doc was comfortable with performing malpractice on strays, but since King was a patient in the ending the doctor would've had to (I assume) follow proper medical procedure with the neutering. It's one thing to practice medicine as a hobby, it's another thing to perform malpractice under a client's unknowing lack of consent.

that being said, for anymore who may concerned after this short: everybody please spay/neuter your cats, it greatly improves their quality of life, prevents certain health problems, and can solve some behavioral issues. there are millions of stray and feral cats in the world, and things like TNR programs help to drastically decrease the number of homeless animals out there. Buena animacion, aunque el mensaje no me gusta tanto. Trata de hacernos creer que la esterilización de las mascotas es algo malo, cuando en realidad es algo bueno que todos los dueños de mascotas deberian hacer. De otra forma las ciudades se llenan de animalitos abandonados que sufren. Además las cirugías se hacen con anestesia total y antes de empezar se afeita el lugar donde van a operar y se pone desinfectante. Eso por razones obvias de higiene. No tiene sentido que el veterinario tome el bisturí antes y para entonces el gato ya debería estar dormido. Y no se qué clase de refugio, servicio de control animal o clínica veterinaria es esa que no cierra las puertas de las jaulas para evitar que los animales escapen. Además las organizaciones que hacen TNR (atrapar, castrar y liberar) no usan comida con somníferos para atrapar a los animales, sino que usan jaulas- trampa especiales donde la comida sirve como señuelo para atraparlos sin lastimarlos. Los somníferos son peligrosos.

Ignoring how unprofessional and abusive the guy is(literally strapping a cat to the table, and performing surgery while it's still awake? Not cool man, not cool. You can fix both issues with simple anesthesia.)... I admire his determination to fix this cat. Do get your cats (and dogs) fixed tho. I mean, I can understand if you feel it's wrong, but you cannot let them outside or adopt intact cats of the other sex. Cats are very invasive.

A maniac veterinarian who likes to castrate cats... and intelligent cats, with human eyes (literally), who understand what is happening... there are simply no words, just facepalms. A veterinarian, or any other doctor, will never perform surgery on internal organs without lidocaine (or any other painkiller), not to mention anesthesia.
