I got goosebumps in 5th grade, and now as a 44 year old man I have goosebumps revisiting this scene again. Came to show my wife why I love that song. 😊

This is probably one of the best, shortest chases in movie history.. So emotionally present. Sitting in your seat worried for Johnny 5. Feeling how angry he must be. "Oscar, you will not get away.. I am really pissed off!" Great line..

I want to bring back Shroeser and make him the star and that hes still in disgrace after SC1. When a new drone is created and is hooked up by accident to the computers from SC1 that recorded J5 being fried alive holds the digital footpront for electronic life, comes alive and Schroeder comes out of retirement to prove ro his family and friends he was roght to try and destroy J5. In the end he ends up realizing how wrong he really was and helps save the new K1...

This scene...and the one after it. As a little kid watching this on TV at like 7 years old...this scene was intense. He's basically bleeding out, but with sheer force of will...presses on. The definition of tenacity and heroism after being beaten half to death, too. As an adult, this is way shorter than I remember as a kid...but still pretty intense, even knowing the ending. To a 7 year old who didn't know if he would make it with this epic music and race against the clock, it was mind blowing enough to remember over 3 decades later.

Apparently the writers were writing a Short Circuit 3 until Short Circuit 2 regrettably bombed at the box office (I'd argue it's better than the first film). I think there's some routes you could take, since both prior Short Circuit films had a romantic element you could probably have Johnny 5 find love/family. Seems like the next logical step after being recognized as a citizen.

The mohawk that Number 5 has is so darn rad! The best I can describe the first movie is that Johnny 5 started as a war robot but one night lightning striked him & made him refuse to be a war robot & falls in love w/ a lady named "Stephanie"; he worries that he might get disassembled by his company so he says "No disassembly!"

SPOILER: Through the whole movie Oscar pretended to be his friend so he could trick him into breaking into a bank vault for him. After looting the bank vault, Oscar tried to kill him by chopping him up with an axe. That's why he is "Bleeding". Johnny inventor's friend patched him up as a temporary fix, although Jhonny instead of waiting to be saved, risked certain death to stop his former friend who tricked him, tried to murder him and take off with the jewels and other valuables from the bank.

The thing that fires me up about this movie is the plot. “Good people getting taken advantage of and expecting NO retaliation because it’s not in their heart”. “…. I am REALLY PISSED OFF!” Is waaaaaay out of character for poor Johnny 5. But enough IS enough!
