You two work extremely well with each other. Both of you are genuine in you're going back and forth. I really appreciate Kevin’s real world approach to giving on course scenarios that could affect you're club selection. Would love to get a fitting from Kevin, but, I'm 2000 mile away.😎

I’ve had this exact struggle… I’ve got a standard srixon zx5 set with a 44 degree Pw and was playing 50/56 wedges. I had a 20+ yard gap between my full PW and a full 50. Ive moved towards 48-52-56. The 48/52 are Mizuno s23 and the 56 is a cleveland rtx full face that I can open the face of to play it like lob wedge.

The last club in the bag I ever make a "full swing" with is the Gap wedge. After that, the sand and lob are always some degree of finesse or taking something off or being creative.

Unless you had to hit it 60 yards over a pine tree! You’d have open that gap wedge a lot. Better to hit S or L full.😊

I have the Paradym Irons, so the PW is 42 degrees, my Callaway Jaws were fitted at 48, 54 and 60 after the vokey fitting process I went through (Titleist has a great fitting program)

You must be psychic . . . just started rethinking my wedge array. Very helpful!

Got a 44° pw then a 50° and a 60° and I just take some off my 50 for anything longer than my 60 which only carries about 90-95 yards, and I love having the 60 for popping up and dropping a ball dead on impact site, or for getting out of deep bunkers I have at my local courses.

Good stuff. If I were to get my 58 bent to 60 does the bounce go up? How much so? Is a high toe wedge a good idea for someone with a shallow attack?

should pitching wedge match the irons or the other wedges?

I agree with only getting a 60 if you need it. Got it last year, and I still usually end up with the 55 in hand. Now it's wasted in my bag.

yea i dont have a 60 in my bag because i feel like i dont use one enough, and i'm not good enough to use on because when i do use it i feel like i am always getting under the ball and it goes like 3 feet so i just stopped putting the 60 in my bag.

Could not hit a 60 degree wedge for many months but persevered and now it is one of my favourite clubs. Technique is everything for 60° and requires utmost confidence over the ball.

These club manufacturers caused these problems by strengthening lofts each model. PW should never have gotten stronger than 48. My Ping Eye 2 W is 50 and 9 is 45.
