"COBRA ONE LENGTH" I I built a set of irons that Ian once mentioned. One length heads with traditional length shafts. they did exactly what Ian thought would happen😮 short irons stopped turning left and long irons stopped turning right. recently sold them and regretting it so much. Paige is definitely a candidate for one length probably 7-pw at 8 iron length

That was fun, my club head speed is very similar to Paige's (just not as good a player). I worked out that once the loft on the iron dropped below 25 degrees it was a struggle. So in my i210s I stop at 5i (26 degrees) and then have a 23 degree hybrid. Similarly in the hybrids I worked out that a 19 degree hybrid was not a great club for me, I just do not have the speed to get it to launch the ball enough - but a 21 degree 7w is a wonderful club
@kooijbas Жыл бұрын
I have the exact same cut offs as you have. I have the t300 and stopped at the 26 degree 6 iron then go to a 23 degree hybrid. And even then I try to avoid the 6. Next up is a 20 degree 7-wood and a 16.5 4-wood.
@marcwolfenden9219 Жыл бұрын
@@kooijbas . Same here but my ping g425 5 hybrid is standard 26, lofted up to 27 and have a 30 degree 6 hybrid lofted up to 31. Got rid of the 5 ,6 and 7 iron . 7 iron makes a appearance once in a purple moon , so basically never

Didn't really know much about Paige and just started seeing some of her videos with the Bob does Sports guys. She has a wonderful swing. So cool that you are working with her. I use the same clubs and really like them, but I can't get the spin she gets and a lot of balls are rolling off the green. Sometimes I feel I could do better with my old clubs that had a more traditional loft. Still like them, but not 100% convinced they are right for me.

Definitely would like to see a 6 hybrid hit. I went to a 6 hybrid as 2 out of 10 shots were awesome with 6 iron but the hybrid is way more consistent and stops better on greens , for me anyway

I went longer and longer with iron lengths this year and now I'm playing near-single length from lob wedge to 7. They are about 1/8" difference per club. Game changer. Now very confident and comfortable with my scoring clubs and much more focused on feel and creativity. And a flushed 9 iron sounds like a 4 hybrid. Absolute rocket.

I can relate to Paige having distances that are variable. I've found that on some days, when my swing feels good and my timing is right, my irons are half a club longer. The reverse is also true; some days my irons are half a club short. I can usually feel the difference while warming up on the range.

Would you consider the Wishon EQ1-NX single length clubs for Paige? They could be all (her favorite ) 8 iron length. The material used in the heads would make it easy to bend for distance gapping.

Thoughts about 1/4” inch length increments vs 1/2” increments? You’d have to swingweight them to get them accurate but might be a good idea for her
