Position A for both removal and riveting? What is Position B for?
@D-Stealth9 ай бұрын
HI. A to remove and install the retainer plate. B for riveting.

Ive never bothered with measuring. Press the plates until you feel a good resistance and the plate looking as the others. Then rivet it until you feel a good arm resistance but dont over do it as you can crush the pin and end up with a locked link

Hi. Proper torque comes with experience. In the unexperienced, it is more convenient to measure. My task is to show that it is simple, and with minimal risk of damaging something. 🙂

my needle is stuck in the chain and I can't get it out, what should I do?
@D-Stealth3 ай бұрын
Try removing the sliding part, pull out the chain pin, and tap the needle back out.

it's too expensive
@D-Stealth3 ай бұрын
Hi! What exactly is expensive? Tools? It'll pay for itself in 3 or 4 chain changes. In my case, 2 years.

The pin bends after one use then the insert is totally useless as it no longer fits into the tool. Another useless piece of junk.

Hi. I've already riveted 4 chains and nothing has broken or bent. Maybe you're doing something wrong. Or maybe you have an Aliehpress tool?
@nzbaaa3 ай бұрын
I've made the same mistake twice. Basically the rivets are really solid, and the tool will struggle to pop them out and will eventually the pin will bend. What you need to do is grind the end of the rivet to make it easier, or better just cut the chain with the grinder and that's it.

@nzbaaa Yeah, you're absolutely right. First, you need to grind off the pin head with a coal grinder. This is shown in my longer video about replacing the chain on my KTM. This video is more of a reminder of how to use the tool.
