This is the most cost effective way to remove radon by crawlspace encapsulation that I know of. I hope you find the content of this video helpful.

I just put a bid on a mitigation job that is a part of a real estate transaction. I incorporated an estimate for a nice encapsulation system through a third-party company. We'll see if the seller pulls the trigger with the big price tag. I'm enjoying your videos. Thanks for posting them. Btw, I actually joined Michael (Crawl Space Ninja) for 3 or 4 videos earlier this year.

Good luck EnviroSolutions! Lately, I've been making videos describing what I will do at the home (while at the home). It's helped land me more jobs. Hope it helps!

Thank you for the explanation at the end. My builder cut a lot of corners. After having my new home inspected the inspector said he'd never seen a radon system set up like mine. I was worried that the builder shafted me on the system. I now understand it's bare minimum lol. Is it normal to have the fan inside the crawl space with the exhaust just on the side of my home less than a foot from the ground?

Great video. Thanks for sharing. In your area do you charge per the sf? What is something like this going to run Bob the seller roughly?

Hi Logan. I hesitate to talk $ for a couple reasons: I know people that are compensated almost twice what I charge. However they live in a place where the cost of living is much higher. It’s all about YOUR market and the market is ruthless in the sense that it will pay what it will pay. I don’t want you to leave money on the table by going off of my prices. So the best advice I can give is to reach out to your fellow mitigators. It’ was one of the best decisions I ever made and every one I reached out to was kind to me and even referred business to me when they were covered up.

I had a radon company come in and give an estimate. He said I needed 20 mil plastic. I believe I have 6 mil plastic already on the dirt. Should I look for another company to do the work? He said the plastic was $25.00 per sq ft. He estimated that for the plastic and fan were going to run $3,750.00. Does that sound right?

Did you get your crawl space done?
@dennykeaton9701 Жыл бұрын
That sounds expensive
@mkmason2002 Жыл бұрын
@@chirina5 Yes! it was my cellar. Swat had to place vacuums in two areas and gave me the largest fan they make and charged me,......drum roll,.... $1,550.00! The installers were the nicest people I ever had to do business with. It was 90-95 4egrees in the cellar. It took 2 days and at least 15 hours to complete the job. I highly recommend SWAT.

By taking care of the seller, haven't you short changed the buyer by doing the bare minimum? Is it protected adequately?
@radonman6800 Жыл бұрын
Hi Donna. Let's pretend that in order to sell your home, you must provide the buyers with a new car that you will never enjoy. Would you buy them a new Ford Focus or a new Mercedes Benz? Both cars are safe and get you from A to B. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching.

@@radonman6800 hello sir! What did you do to the end of the corrugated pipe? Did you put a screen or not?
@radonman68003 ай бұрын
@@akatkdboi I have not found that a screen is necessary with corrugated pipe under the black plastic underlayment. However, I do use a screen as critter or leaf guard at the top of the vent or exhaust. Thanks for watching!
