A while back I had mentioned that I have a couple of those old Yamahas and I've been working on one of them and I'm almost ready to see if she'll start after sitting for at least 25 years. It's a 1978 model and it took a fair amount of work to get it to this point. Thank you for sharing your experience with these classics 👍

Your XS sounds great . Mines still in bits, be a while before it's on the road now, I spent everything I had on a low-k W650. It was the bargain you hear that others scored. Under 30k's for 3k nzd, fifteen hundred quid ! I couldnt believe it, had to rob Peter and Paul...but had to do it . It's getting harder to find unmolested-ones here and they are starting to fetch silly money . The Aussie cafe-crowd across the Ditch , have affected prices in NZ, I guess that's just how it goes .
