I do like the idea of adding a neutral light and now I have a good idea what’s needed. Thanks!

@@OldBiker I got into a conditioning in my '70 Daytona 500 thank you I was just using a manual and a roll of masking tape that I labeled things such as pushrods which one went where I kind of thing I did for the first time with no prior experience. The intensity in my ability to pay attention was all guided by my enthusiasm to get that new cylinder head replaced from the cracked one and get it running better than ever. Maybe that's just to it was all a dream come true with the new piston rings too. In later years I traded that one up including a lot of cash for a '75 Trident. That's sold all by itself and I moved off of little Cape Cod Massachusetts going up to New Hampshire where I am still today.You have that glorious bike so juicy sounding! 20:44. Actually, you know, I don't think the bike could have ever run that well and clean without this history of you attending to it, really. Do you have the Midas touch. That Bonneville is now solid gold!

Another great video, thanks for posting. That was a very good idea to utilise the defunct oil warning lamp position to change into a neutral lamp. Coincidentally I have just loaded a similar video about my T150V, which features an oil pressure gauge conversion too.

Yeah just been watching that one and bracing the stand should be done on all Triumphs! Here is a link to the video if anyone reads this kzbin.info/www/bejne/iGTLemWKft2DeJI

i think shropshire classics do a combined oil light feed and op gauge take off for the timing cover
@OldBiker2 жыл бұрын
Yeah looks ugly hanging out the front almost level with the header pipes, besides I wanted the neural switch :D On another note Shropshire Classics tends to be the last choice in parts I'm seeking due to their extortionate prices, take a neutral switch for example the with an average cost of £14, exactly the same one at Shropshire £38.52 or the sludge trap tube alone eBay £12.99 - Shropshire £42.35! Joke prices in times like this especially when they are web based and have virtually no overheads.

I need to do the same to my bike. Also, how can we make the speedometer and tachometer gauges light up without changing them??

Lost me on that question, don't they have clock lights fitted?

Having an oil pressure gauge is great..but..what pressure should it be running at & what pressure is too high/too low
@OldBiker Жыл бұрын
anything above 20psi at idle is OK, I've never heard of it being too high, mine runs at 75psi when ticking over at first start and around 50 at idle once warmed up. These will vary from bike to bike, mine has quite a good pressure as I recently rebuilt it with all new seals etc
