That's dumb, you did 2 test in light rooms. The room has to be compleate dark, specially for the epson one that is made for such purpose.

I have a viewsonic similar to the BenQ. It s 3200 lumens very bright 4K. You can go 150 inch 200 inch and it will still look good. The other 2 projectors will fade and look blurry . they not the same

Optoma is 120hz with 8.4ms in normal mode 16ms realy good for gamers. The optoma also use pixel shift for 4k image. For this price its a really good buy. The benq 6000 Lumens 😂😂😂😂 that bullsh.t 👻 and the benq also use pixel shift.

None of these are native 4K but yes I commented the same thing 6000 lumens? Get real. Its 3000 ANSI lumens but I guess its like the cheapo ones on amazon saying they got 12000 lumens or nots or led lumens bla bla. This video was beyond terrible in every single way.

What a deficient review this is. What are the colour profiles and settings? I believe the EPSON has the best natural look with its 3LCD laser light source. If you adjust the settings correctly, EPSON is perfect both in day and night time. And also HDR10 and HLG are supported well with very bright and high contrast. Image detail is nearly flawless.

Interestingly, the Epson (I have the EF-11 which is practically the same just without the Yamaha speakers and built in Android TV and a few other bells and whistles) is not really considered a "Short throw" in technical terms. It's kind of a weird in-between of a standard throw and a short throw. I believe the BenQ is also in that department as well.

Just for a correction the optoma Hd29hst has a refresh of 120hz not 85hz it also as you can see has a throw of half the distance as the other 2 and can except a 4k display (it's native 1080p) is also hdr and on game mode has if memory serves has a 4.2 response time so the test was done incorrectly

@0nlyusemeblade For the price it is. I have a 65 inch Oled in my home and I don't spend big money on outdoor projectors. If I was going to buy a full-time projector I would buy a 4k for at least $2000. What the Optoma 28hdr does very well is upconverted 4k and HDR if the original is 4k and HDR. We just had a Superbowl party and watched it outside. My friends were impressed. Get either the optoma hd28hdr or the BenQ HT2150ST. I tried them both and I was very impressed with the Optoma

comparing them all at once, but the videos are not playing at the same time and not in full darkness........... clearly the Benq is better because it is 4k(EDIT: it can support 4k, but not native as said in the video) Also most of the people buying these will use the build in speakers, so where do you compare that?

This projector gets the job done pretty well. kzbin.infoUgkxS9P8zTOcmQg-hH0QeUi3dspOLyYgQ6dH Bear in mind it's a mini projector but all things considered the picture quality is pretty good. The attached photo is of the projector projecting onto my white closet doors. I still have not messed with the settings but I can't wait for our first family movie night on a larger scale. If you have issues with volume not working with your firestick, go into volume settings and you will find your solution there.

Should get me to review projectors, I must have worked with over 100 different projectors. You didn't mention what the light source was for each projector... If they are not laser than they are pointless. I never buy bulb projects anymore.

@@HeavyInstinct we have projectors we run 12 hours a day 7 days a week. The laser projectors have outlasted the standard lamp projectors. Lamp projectors only last about 7 to 8 years for us. The laser ones have so far been going that long and still not dying off.
@HeavyInstinct
@HeavyInstinct 2 жыл бұрын
@@airjaff Any of the laser projectors I've seen are rated for anywhere between 20,000 and 25,000 hours of life and 30,000 is the absolute best I have seen. So at 8 years you are definitely at the end of it's life cycle. Also just like a lamp projector the laser light source will lose brightness over its lifetime so by $20,000 hours it's definitely not going to look as good as it did when it was new. When that happens with a lamp based projector you can simply replace it and it looks like new again. Also just like a lamp based projector it's always possible the light source will die before it reaches it's rated lifespan sometimes significantly before that. Again with a standard projector you can simply replace it. Not sure what standard projectors you've used in the past but but as installer of custom electronics for the past 15 years I've seen them last significantly longer than 7 to 8 years provided they are well maintained and you change the lamp when you are supposed to. Using a lamp well beyond it's rated lifespan can actually damage your projector and cause early failure. Another reason I prefer standard projectors is because you can get projectors for around $1,000-$1,500 that will produce a beautiful image while the vast majority of laser projectors I have seen typically cost more than twice that much. Of course any projector has the possibility of failing much earlier than expected so with a sub $1,000 projector you're out much less money when this happens.
@airjaff
@airjaff 2 жыл бұрын
@@HeavyInstinct i use professional 24/7 usage projectors, so from $8k and above. If I was buying cheap projectors yes would be more cost effective buying lamp. All the Panasonic pro lamp projectors that we have have died off these all costed 12 and above. The lamps just get too hot and over time the internals of the projectors get ruined.
@HeavyInstinct
@HeavyInstinct 2 жыл бұрын
@@airjaff I see. Very interesting. I know what you mean about the heat buildup causing failure. That is why I mentioned the importance of maintaining them. Not cleaning the filter often enough is something that can contribute to this. I'm not suggesting you haven't done this but it's something that is more important than many people realize. I have an Epson 5030 UB in my living room that is over 8 years old now and still going strong. Even having done regular maintenance on it though, the white plastic door that covers the lamp area has turned yellow from the heat generated in that area. Don't get me wrong, I find the UST laser projectors very interesting in the way they are designed and the type of setup they offer the user. I just wish they weren't so expensive and offered the user a way to replace the light source. Glad you enjoy yours though. Peace!
