Great job thanks. What about son and sun they are known as homophones but following the pronuntiation as this video shows they are no homophones. Can you clarify this please. Thanks in advance!

Why don't you call the vowel sound in HUT the schaw ?
@mrmememe7773 жыл бұрын
The schwa is only in unstressed syllables. One syllable words like "hut" have one stressed syllable called a short "u" sound. Thanks for watching.
@plaguegames3556 Жыл бұрын
Are you really sure about the short “u”? I have never heard it being pronounced like that.
@baluchito11318 ай бұрын
I am sure. My colleagues at work and I were talking about boxing. I mentioned the uppercut and everyone heard apricot. It was clear contextually that I was trying to say the boxing term and not the fruit , but it sounded a bit weird to them in some way.

Neither have I. I'd given up studing vowels sound but this video encouraged me to try again. I will try whatching these videos.

Also try saying uppercut to your Siri and see how far your pronunciation gets you

so the biggest problem is how to get which letter is in the end (ha d\t, co p\b, ) if Americans don't pronounce it its like Ha...Ca...Jo...
@mrmememe7773 жыл бұрын
It's a stop T/D. It's not silent. Check out the video for a complete explanation. kzbin.info/www/bejne/g2aQkGN7d9KiZrM

@@mrmememe777 I see but even if its a stop T/D its so hard to get, to hear if its T/D
