Its surprising how not a single gaming chair out there has bothered to try and make the chair ergonomics or adjustable in any way. They're all just bucket seats with a different skin for outrageous prices. Dont bother with this and get an ergonomic chair instead. Any chair that looks like a car bucket seat will distort your back. You don't need support against G-forces. Your back needs to rest on a pole and have a great lumbar support, preferably build-in inflating cushion. Therapia and other manufacturers make chairs like that. Herman-Miller is another good brand to buy from.

If you're looking for a good "gaming" chair that's actually worth it and comfortable get an AndaSeat Kaiser 3. Usually on sale for $450 US. It has 4D armrests, magnetic cooling gel neck pillow, big cushion seat that is comfortable and slightly firm, and actual built in lumbar support. Two knobs for lumbar height and depth along with cloth or leather chair options. Also it's almost $300 dollars less than this cougar terminator. If you don't have the money for the $1200 office ergo chairs then the Kaiser 3 is the one to buy. It's got plenty of leg room for me to sit with my legs crossed on the seat or to lean and lounge in for comfort. I'm 6'0" tall 215 lbs and it's been great. If you're 5'10" or above then get the XL version of the chair. The only real difference is the gas cylinder height range. I've tried the secretlabs titan chair and while the lumbar support on that one is better the chair is an awful rock that made my butt go numb faster than a cement bench. Returned it in a week. The RS gaming devanti chair from office max is a close second for me but will need some kind of cushion for the back. Anyway I hope this helps someone so they don't mistakenly buy this $800 dollar piece of crap.

That chair looks absolutely SICK. But, I think the search continues for what to replace my aging Steelcase Leap with. I've just gotten used to having way too many adjustability options that these "cooler" chairs just don't have. If you're going to be sitting in a chair for 8+ hours while gaming or working from home, it NEEDS to have adjustable seat tilt/depth, adjustable lumbar, etc. Your joints will thank you.
@AbiRizky Жыл бұрын
Been looking into the Leap and HM Sayl, what would you say is the drawback of the Leap? I kept seeing people complain about the seat not being very supportive around the back is this true?
@Brogboolius_Maximus Жыл бұрын
@@AbiRizky It supports my back perfectly, but for reference, I'm 6'2 and sit pushed all the way back on the seat. The lumbar support and seat positioning is quite adjustable, but maybe if you need it to push out further it could be a problem? I spent some time adjusting it perfectly to fit me, and have no complaints. The only downside in my opinion is that it's not a tall chair, so no headrest. It's only rarely a problem for me, since I hardly ever lean all the way back in the chair, but if that's how you sit, it might be a problem. You can lock the reclining or just stiffen the resistance so you really have to push to lean it back, which is perfect for me. Also, my chair is around 12 years old now, and the cushion is still comfortable to my big fat butt, and the piston has only barely started to slowly leak (I have to raise the chair back up every month or so). I'm just looking for future replacement options if this thing ever breaks.
@AbiRizky Жыл бұрын
@@Brogboolius_Maximus thanks. You're quite a bit taller than me and from what I've read the problems seem to happen for people somewhat shorter than me (I'm around 5'9ish, most complaints I read are from 5'6-5'8 tall people). So I guess I'm somewhere around the middle in terms of whether I get good support from the chair or not. Also, what about the back rest? I know the stiffness is adjustable but do you have any problems with it being too stiff/not stiff enough? Say if you push hard when it's at the stiffest setting, does it move a lot? Sorry for the questions, the Leap costs a lot of money where I live
@Brogboolius_Maximus Жыл бұрын
@@AbiRizky No worries, getting recommendations online about chairs is such a mess. There are so many factors to consider, and everyone seems to prefer different things. For the back rest, it's really quite adjustable. I have it at the stiffest setting which holds me upright even with moderate pressure, but if I push back, I can get it to hold stable at all sorts of angles. For someone lighter than me (I'm a pretty heavy guy), they can just keep it at a lower stiffness and it would do the same thing. You can also lock the recline entirely at 5 different angles if you never want to go past a certain point when leaning. Fully unlocked feels like about 45° of lean. It's worth checking whether the current Leap has these features listed too, since mine is old enough now that it might be a previous model. I doubt it, but you never know.
