Beginners Easy Italian Desert Crust Recipe
Ingredients:
Two Fork Method
2 1/2 cups “OO” flour, pastry flour, good quality cake flour
1/4 cup white sugar
5 ounces cold butter
3 egg yolks, room temperature
Mix flour and sugar with one fork. Cut & Cube Cold butter. Using two forks turn mixture into pea size granules see cooking video for actual demonstration.
Add room temperature egg yolks. Mix to combine. Turn dough into a smooth ball and wrap in plastic. Refrigerate for a minimum of thirty minutes.
This is a true Italian Classic- if you want to add a flavor extract of your choice the option is yours.
This is one of the easiest pastry crust recipes to do. I hope you enjoyed today's cooking show.
