I've converted this video into an MP3 so that I can save it to my phone's playlist. Five years later, I find myself revisiting this version. I'd like to dedicate this to my friend who passed away in a motor accident four years ago. I recall sharing this version with her, and she really enjoyed it. Although I typically listen to the piano version, I'm glad she liked it. I miss her greatly.

Whitney undoubtedly had a glorious voice & unbelievable vocal ability but because of the arrangement of the original, I never knew that it was such an emotive song. They make bops, and they impress you. Shoshana is more gospel/musical theatre based singer. Her job isn't to impress you, or "out-sing" someone else- Her music isn't even about being pleasant. Her job, and her best musical quality, is her ability to re-design a song in order to bring out the lyrics. She doesn't have to be overly technical and poise in order to sing a song. Also, pro-tip: Stop using the golden era of music as a reason to feel better than younger generations. We've have enough of your boomer buffoonery. Like, seriously.
