Did you expect more from JR Smith? Or was he what you expected?
@I_AmTone34 жыл бұрын
To be honest I expect more. And the only reason why I said is because his Nuggets days was good and all but he really could’ve elevated his game some besides just a jump shot & highlight dunks. That’s what I personally believe though

I expected more seen him play in the ny kingdome turny with other NBA players he had the skills to avg 25 to 30 a night that shows you that when you relay on talent alone you won't be come better If he work half a hard as kobe he might been a top ten player

Jr. Smith also had his growth stunted in denver after that brawl when Allen Iverson was traded to denver and that instantly took minutes from jr. Where he had to be a 6th man , however he was the biggest Wildcard ever .he's like a Ricky Davis with crazy 3pt range and the antics energy similar to JohnStarks that just mentally didn't keep it together enough to become a Allstar but he was still fun to watch in his prime.

That mental octopus analogy....i have no idea what you said, but i felt that shit haha
@stuntedgrowth4 жыл бұрын
Lol! SO basically, you know how the Octopus can squeeze and contort itself (no bones) and fit in and escape any environment or enclosure, Smith is like that because he had the talent to fit any situation on the floor. He could do it all when he was young, especially shooting guard duties. But, it's like while he had those Octopus like gifts, his body was instead made of metal if you will. Hardened, unable to adjust. So he looked like he had those abilities, but a metal skin that prevented him from using them. That stopped him from adjusting and stunted his growth. I know that's really out there.

The 2004 draft class has to have some of the most, not the most, stunted growth candidates out of any draft class. Dwight, Okafor, Ben Gordon, Shaun Livingston, Devin Harris, Childress, Deng, Telfair, Big Al, Josh Smith, Jr Smith, Jameer, Delonte, Tony Allen, etc. That draft class had so much potential and a lot of those guys still had pretty good careers but injuries and other issues had them lose years off their prime and a lot of them were out of the league earlier than people expected.

Imagine if J.R. took the 3-pointer instead of dribbling it out. If he made it, he would've been a hero, considered clutch, and he would've had a long lasting career. It's horrinle how some players are defined by 1 play. Example. Bill Buckner with the Red Sox, J.R Smith, etc. It's the sad, grim reality however that's why your getting the big bucks. To be clutch. Paul Pierce was always clutch. Not the fastest player of flashiest, however clutch when it counted. Great video. Can't believe I barely came across this one.

He was that work in Denver and New York. I remember he was the Dunk Contest and I had no idea who he was.

For real Jr is the one player. Where you could really just say. I don't know why.

The list of amazing shooting guards that can carry a team and be a main player on a roster for many years is a very small list and they are almost always 6’6 or taller

Based on what I’ve seen and know of Smith, his immaturity, his involvement with teams that had stars like Melo, CP3, and Bron, AND his “party like a rock star” lifestyle did JR in. Which is sad.

BBIQ is very underrated. Understanding the game, paying attention, and not defeating yourself are very important
