Todays video like..., showing different options to make the same shot. I had a similar shot last night in a tournament however i stuned with right spin into long rail for shape on the 6 ball. However everyone has there own comfort. These were great! Awesome job!

Sth like today is great! As viewers get to understand the different possible options available, cos I believe different players will prefer certain shots depending on their practice or condition at that moment. Sometimes the right shot is the shot that you are the most confident at that point of time, not depending on the difficulty of the shot :)

As an average player I enjoy watching your videos because you are very down to earth and show us basically how the cue ball works in multiple ways. I'm 74 and recovering from shoulder surgery and hope to be back at my senior center soon to play 8 and 9 ball. I love pool and your instruction is simple to understand which makes it helpful. I love it when I see you making a shot that I can say yes I've done that and at that speed too. I'll continue to watch because I have lots of time and I will be practicing whenever I feel up to it, hopefully a little more each day.. Your videos are a treasure - please keep them coming. Thanks

Man, I'd never have thought to play that shot with just center ball. I don't even know why but I would always play it with inside, even though that shot is a lot more difficult, and I even kept missing the shot itself. The center ball hit seems so natural compared to the one with sidespin, I honestly have no idea why I'd ever play it that way, maybe it was from watching the pros shoot it that way. I really like the shot on the 8 ball as well. I'd probably would have drawn off of the side-rail with bottom-right and overran my position just like you said, so I am going to try it with just side. Love the content, love the quickfire explanations, there is some amazing value here! 😍

Another brilliant video for Sharivari! Do you know what makes these the best coaching videos on KZbin? 1. Different camera angles (sometimes up to 3 of them) for the same shot is extremely helpful - you see the perspective from the player and the birdseye view - for learning and appreciation of the angles 2. The helpful additional notes that pop up sometimes are great learning tools too It's obvious so much effort has been put into these videos. There is, in my view, really no need to watch any other video on pool other than Sharivari!

Very good video. Center ball hits are the most important to know how they work, all 3 center high, low, and center ball.

Great video. I think a big mistake some players make is trying to learn to play with side spin on the cue ball before they even know the full mechanics of a center ball hit and are not fully aware of the tangent line. I think a player should master the tangent line and center ball hit BEFORE learning to apply side spin. That way you can avoid complicating things too much.
@chrisross334 жыл бұрын
Agree 100%. A person can just use their two finger "peace sign" or when motioning with their fingers the number sign "two" in order to visualize the path of the cue ball on a center or follow shot as opposed to the tangent line that the cue ball will follow on a cue ball stun shot. Sharivari made the excellent point of seeing what is simplest first when it is your turn or after you have successfully pocketed a ball and are evaluating your next shot. If a natural center ball (no spin) shot gets you position on your next shot then great. As aiming becomes less complicated and odds of pocketing the shot goes way up. If it doesn't, then look to spin or draw (or hitting an entirely different ball and/or strategy) to get you where you need the cue ball to go.

I will say that the regular wood shafts play these shots easier as they have more deflection. The lower the deflection you actually have to change your aim where the closer to ghost ball aiming works well for these shots with the more traditional shafts . Or you can hit then a bit harder with the carbon to get a similar result as it does not allow the swerve to come back into play after the initial squirt. I find the same is true with on the rail positional shots with heavy english. The squirt helps balance the shot so there is less adjustment for the shooter. At a consistent speed anyway.

Hi, on that 7 ball, what do you think of using a lot of left hand English, and a lot of throw, to get that cue ball off of that side rail, and shape on the 8? Do you think that using a lot of throw just makes that shot harder? When ever I do not have enough angle to get the cue ball off the rail, to get shape on another ball, I always feel that I need to use a lot of throw, in order to help me get that cue ball off of the rail, and onto the next shot. Do you think it is best to practice using center cue ball? I really like your videos. Thanks.
@Sharivari3 жыл бұрын
Hi Justin. Well, I am not really a fan of using English on that shot. It just makes it so much harder, because you really have to pound it. And there is really no huge advantage. I personally had the best results when using no spin on such shots.

I don't like the 24 shot series intro. Each video you ever release is going to show some kind of shot, so it is unnecessarily repetitive to have each of these videos contain a "24 shot series into" that will mean nothing in the long-term. Instead, just say: "We have this situation . . .". Who cares that is part of a 24-shot series? Not me. Respectfully.
@chrisross334 жыл бұрын
It is however a very creative intro that I don't get bored by even though I have seen it over a dozen times. I like this series over all in bringing many of your subscribers and fans together almost every day for the entire month of December. I like seeing how you approach running out racks and remaining balls on the table. Learning and benefiting by comparing what my strategy would.likely have been to your own. So after you made your shot seeing how you approach running out the rest of the rack. I find this more helpful then the bonus shots.
