Happy New Year everyone! After taking some time off, I am back with new content. This video was very important for me to publish first, because there were really a lot of comments about this in the original video. Enjoy!

I'm so glad/relieved that you're still here! You literally changed my life ... I was a half decent barroom player but woefully inconsistent with no actual knowledge of what was happening on the table except for the shot I was about to take. What happened next on the table was on a wing and a prayer but watching your excellent videos really changed things. Before you I would go 2 wins against 10 for my opponent (I've got this one friend that is pretty good, can almost run every rack) but now we're almost dead even every time and I'm also close to being able to run out racks every game. I really can't thank you enough.

Great video as usual. Happy for you and your new Cue Stick sponsor. Worth mentioning to all your followers... I just a week ago put on Samonis 860 in Tournament 🔵 Blue. The action I get on my table is a dream come true. New Aramiths Premiums coming tomorrow. Was told the Roku was clean. Sent it back. Every shot left a spot on table. The Master chalk leaving NO MESS at all. And cueing No problem

All your videos are informative! I'm glad to hear spin described as inside or outside vs. right and left. I don't know about anyone else but when a shooter is facing me and claims right hand spin, I have to think too hard (grin).

Maybe i've seen so many pro matches but I think those guys can hit this shot anyway they like. Pure high three rails, pure draw one rail, heck maybe even high right one rail straight up. That's offcourse if you can put the amount of spin they put and your cloth plays fast. If you're an average player with normal cloth yes, stun right or draw right 4 rails is the best option plus a really beautiful shot. Just sharing some thoughts. Great video anyways!

It is possible to get round the black. You just need more right hand side to straight the angle off the cushion even more so that the point of contact on the side rail is higher than the black. Or even roughly level.

Do you have any lessons on the pivot point? I'm an older player with a shorter bridge length. It's the way I learned and am very comfortable with it. How does going to a low deflection shaft effect it? Should I stay away from them because they require a longer bridge?

How would elevation affect this shot? Obviously it decreases the percentage of making the ball, but I think it would give some very interesting results.

At about 5:15 in the video, there's a shot comparison where the inside and outside shots are both visible and the cues are both seen. It looks like your back hand is in the same location and that you're pivoting the cue. I expected the two cues to be parallel. (I'm very new to this) So should I line up a center shot then pivot the tip to the inside or outside and keep my back hand "centered?" It certainly would change the direction of force. If so, same for up and down positioning?

I went back to some of your early videos and got my answer. A wealth of info.

Can you please tell me why the shot on the six ball did not follow the 30 degree rule?? Maybe because of the angle?
@Sharivari4 жыл бұрын
Because the cue ball isn't rolling, but has forwards rotation and is hit hard. To apply the 30° rule, you need a rolling cue ball.

I prefer the draw shot (with left english) out of any of those, mainly because I love drawing the ball and trust what it will do. he said it's the hardest shot to execute but I found it the most reliable plus it was the only shot that fully misses the 8-ball on right side since I thought that's what we were going for. lol

How come you didn't show inside, with no top? Imo, that will give you the angle you need.
@fixitrod49694 жыл бұрын
I thought the same but couldn't get it. It took too much power and died to fast. I'd either kick it right into the pocket or kick it so far up the rail the "gearing effect" left in the ball wasn't enough. Maybe a more skilled player could get it. I thought the exact same thing as you though.
