I can see both sides. I didn't live near any comic shops, so 90% of the comics I got was from newsstands. However, that was before the digital age. The majority of.newsstands that were around either closed or no longer sell print.

Yeah and that’s a great point. A lot of people who are older and remember buying comics from grocery stores or newsstands want that back but don’t realize the world has moved on. Newsstands aren’t as typical and many times don’t sell magazines or very limited ones and likely WOULD NOT even want to stock comics for a variety of reasons. People also just… don’t think of newsstands anymore. Comics being there isn’t going to make them a destination all of a sudden.

I agree a return to the newsstand is not only unlikely, but impractical. Instead, focus on increasing value of digital and build value into the DM through incentives to retailers and collectors. Great video as usual, guys!

Printing costs really throw away the News Stand option. The news stand only needs to return the cover to get a refund on the book. So the potential for loss is higher than going to comic shops.
