I think he's smart to talk about building wealth fast by going 50/50...build for a few years, then it's likely you'll be able to quit when you want kids or want to pursue your own thing.

It is for an average income women which MOST women are. BW on average gross just over 43k while the average BM gross about 50k so financially most BWare better off with a man if she actually wants the live an above average life. The reason there is so many 50/50 men out here is because women has foolishly bought into the “independent, don’t need no man culture” so I find it comical when they’re confused as to why the following generations of men don’t see a need to fully provide for women. Being an Nigerian man, was raised to provide and protect. If I ask a woman out on a date, I pay. If a woman wants to go out to eat, I pay. If I ask for a woman’s hand in marriage, or ask for her father’s blessing, I’m assuring him that I’ll provide and protect his daughter and our family. I’ve never subscribed to this 50/50 mindset at all. It’s lame. Now where responsibility comes to mind is I have to make sure to choose wisely. I’m not providing any woman that comes my way, I have to be selective with my choice in women. If I choose a WOMAN who acts and behaves accordingly, then there should not be an issue of providing and protection. But if I choose someone with a questionable past, then that’s a bad choice on me. Accountability goes both ways fellas. You can’t lead a home of you are not doing what leaders are supposed to do. Simply put, there’s a reason why Franchise players get paid the most, it’s because they are more talented and do a majority of the heavy lifting.

Cool story. My grandpa worked a low paying job, bought a house, sent five kids to college, my grandmother outlived him 20yrs, and never worked a day in her life. Fast forward two generations to me. My household income is more than 10x my grandfather’s. We own a house, and will struggle to put two kids through college. The world has changed. Understanding is best thing for a relationship. My wife refuses to let me pay all the bills. I wasn't even allowed in the kitchen. At the beginning of the relationship all of this was discussed. I was totally shocked but totally agreed. On the other hand we were able to provide whatever we wanted. This created envy within our circle of friends and our neighbors because we didn't make a lot of money. The moral to the story get married to someone that has the same mind set as you do. Yeah I’m my husband retired at 42. Furthermore, a lot of stay at home wives/moms actually do have their own income. I don’t know who lied to people that we don’t. We still need money for our feminine products. My husband doesn’t bother me because I’m a Disabled Veteran. Whatever I spend doesn’t really affect the household because it benefits him too. He pays the household bills. He wanted a shed, I ordered it from Home Depot. I bought power tools. I wanted to organize the house better and decorate. I got a Cricut and I’m doing all kinds of stuff because I thought it only did one thing but I’m in here making all kinds of stuff on a budget and I’m fixing up my daughter’s place. When my son buys his house, I’m going to be organizing it. I need to get my daughter and grandkids situated 1st so I can get my son straight. It’s just him so it’s easier.

The husband paid the house and most of the Bill's, the wife paid for their benefits on her job and saved the max for their retirement and groceries. Both people benefit from their efforts.
