I get the Sew Sampler box and Open Gates box and absolutely love both of them!!! I get the add ons for the Open Gate box and have never been disappointed!!!❤

I think subscription boxes are expensive - they’re dressed up to look “good value”, but the people selling them are certainly not making a loss. Always better to choose your own fabrics and buy what you love in my opinion 😊❤

I love your sew alongs, I appreciate the help deciding and scheduling a project and following along, if not I can’t decide from the infinite options and then having to figure out what I need and many times I forget and by the time time things arrive. So I would love to be able to prep and follow along with you to take all the guess work out of it. You definitely are organized and have the best tips. Love all your videos even if it is just to watch and I trust all your recommendations!

I’ve never heard of that subscription, and I’m not in the market for another one but I find it interesting that the pattern is not one that you would use with the fabric included in the subscription box ??? The fabric is pretty but without a project it would just end up in my stash. Thanks for sharing, I’m really enjoying your videos

I’m not familiar with previous versions of this box, but this particular one would be a waste for me. One reason I canceled my FQS subscription was because I’m so new at quilting and I don’t think they usually do videos of the projects in the box. It would be great if you did that.

I think you should make the Shine On quilt. Don’t be afraid of templates! I know you can do it. Don’t limit yourself to squares and rectangles. That is a really good looking quilt.

I’d cancel. I love sewing along with you. Sew Sampler is my favorite. Many have Lori Holt books that have a ton of patterns/blocks. We could subscribe to Lori’s monthly box at FQS and then do a quilt from one of Lori’s books.

I don't see the value in this. Does the pattern on the canvas match the Fabric? Could you quilt the fabric on top of the canvas following the printed lines and make a tote bag out of it? I don;t know, just trying to make sense out of it. Thanks for sharing

Im not really sure. It looks like the lines are not the same size. Could be fun to stitch out, but no clue what to make with it.

The quilt pattern is very pretty. I only like the canvas and the blue panels. I like the FQS sew sampler boxes.

I had to finally make the decision to cancel some of my subscription boxes…I just had way too many notions, threads, and small projects that I never found the time to complete. I kept two though…fig tree friends and creative notions.

Those fabrics are gorgeous. I think they are the Japanese Shibori style. Why don’t you put them together into a lovely blue quilt.

I had this box for a year or so but over that time really doubted the “value”. Not current fabric lines and the very popular ones like Tula Pink, they didn’t give the full FQ - more like had taken 2.5 “ off the 21 or 22”. I even sent complaint letters to fabric companies. Think Precuts Quilt shop decide their own “value”.

The Fabric is beautiful, but they have chosen the wrong pattern. The pattern is traditional and the fabric is modern. I do not get the subscription, but have been tempted only because I like their fabrics. You do a great job with your sewalongs. And have saved me a couple of times with the sampler box. All of the quilts I make go to charity so if I have to add an additional $50 to $100 to finish the quilt, I find a new pattern. Thanks for do a fabulous job! I think purses or pillow cases would be a better choice for projects with this fabric. Just my opinion.

I would cancel. In fact I’m planning to cancel my Pre-Cuts subscription as well. Their value page is almost laughable - that mesh bag is less than $1 on Amazon. I do wish I was getting the same box that you got. I really like doing sashiko. But I get a different box - I can’t remember what it’s called.

Whatever you do is fine by me. I don’t receive that box and I do so long with you on some of the other boxes you have, but I don’t feel that box is worth as much as they say it’s worth. But that’s just my opinion is probably worth twice to someone else.

I would cancel, not impressed with the lack of information. That bag $4 that’s laughable! I purchased a set of 12 identical bags on Amazon for less than $10. I feel like the FQS fat quarter club is a much better value.

I’ve recently cancelled a couple of subs that I was getting. The fabric and projects weren’t to my liking. The projects were “space takers” and served no purpose for me. It’s okay to cancel when you aren’t feeling it.

I would cancel. The description was lacking in what the fabric was and what the panel should be used for. Plus the inconsistentency with what you get is kind of meh. I used to get sew samplers from fqs. Sew yeah has a subscription box and fort worth fabric studio. I haven't tried either but i heard sew yeah does a good job.

Honestly these monthly subscription boxes of all kinds are not worth it just in my opinion. I have not seen any that are not Way overpriced for what you get and many times the products are quite useless. I much prefer to choose my own patterns and fabrics for projects. Also, not to be snarky ,(as I took your “Tennessee taxes everything” comment), we also don’t have a state tax and taxes paid on IN STATE purchases are much less than that would be and taxes are paid by all state citizens and not just those of us that actually have jobs.

I think they are beautiful!! I’d be excited to have received them. I want that canvas fabric. We get so use to Lori Holt etc something more handmade and of a different style we’re not quite sure. What to do. This is beautiful fabric but yes might not be a group project. Fabric is glorious though.

I don't like this box. The fabric is too random & doesn't look like it goes with the pattern included. The thread doesn't even go with it, it looks like it's brown. If I had this subscription, I would probably cancel or return it. And no instructions for the panels. Not a box for me. No box looks as good a the Sew Sampler box, so far.
