Rn I have 2 personal accounts ones private though. But I am thinking about acting and am thinking about a fresh account to create my own personality and make it look nicer but I don’t want to delete the other main. Idk if I should create a new one or use my main I have at the moment.

At the moment Personal so I can share on Facebook. I decided on Facebook to stick to my personal as my fan page was hacked/taken over after my car accident a year and a half ago. Was not able to get it back and Facebook security did nothing for me to reclaim it. Am re-evaluating at the moment as really cannot rely on Facebook anymore just to stay connected to lovely people like you. If I switch creator sounds like the perfect option for me.

I have a personal... wanted to switch to creator but the only option it gives me when following the above instructions is "Switch to Professional Account"- does it then ask Biz or Creator? I didn't want to make an irreversible change (it's happened before) Thought I'd ask first! :) Thank you!

Yep. Good move :) Click on that and you'll get the 2 options. In the description of this video I have instructions how to change from personal- to creator.

creator! actor but i still don't have the ability to change what i see in my feed! and i'm getting so few of my 'friends' and so many ads and reels from strangers. hate that!

Be patient Bonnie...You'll get it soon. What you see in your feed is algorithmic and is based on what you interact with. Spend 10 minutes tonight clicking into the people you're 'following' and interacting with friend's posts. That will make sure you see more of them in the feed :) And make sure you continue to show them love. If you don't interact then IG doesn't know what you like.

P.S. The ads and suggested posts are gonna still be there- that's what comes with a platform being 'FREE'. Just make sure you tell IG you don't want to see more posts like that and hopefully they'll show you 'suggested posts' from accounts that actually have your interests.

Not an issue. You can change account type (no matter what your name is) :)

Wondering whether to lose the second one and change my personal account to a creator account as I don't post a lot of personal stuff nowadays anyway. Can you still link to a personal FB page from a creator account?

Creator/Business accounts are linked to PAGES not PROFILES (but you don't have to link a creator account to any facebook account if you don't want to).

Just clarifying...You don't know what kind of account you have? Go to your profile > click on the 3 lines in the top right > Settings = It will say Creator or Business as one of the menu options, if it doesn't you have a regular account.
