Brenden’s honesty is so refreshing and freeing a lot of people right now. We need to stop trying to make our “productive” habits to mirror each other. Let’s try harder to learn what works for us and be true to that.

Prioritizing myself has been the best thing I did for myself. I used to suffer from depression and that’s because everyone else had to come before me. I was very resentful of others and generally a negative person to be around. My therapist said to me if someone asks you for a billion can you give them. I said to her no I don’t have that money and she said to me yeah you are giving people what you don’t have that’s why you are exhausted. You are not a super human. You are just as important as the people who you want to please

Aiii this was interesting hey. Especially about routines. Lol I am soo not a morning person and been struggling with being a 5am club lol but ever since I left my 8 to 5 job. I have become such a morning person but I think it's like you guy say the stage of the life I'm at now. Because I've found it to be much more beneficial for me to wake up at 5 and pray 6am start cleaning the house. While the kids are still asleep. Haven't been consistent with it past few days and I see that it's struggle if I have to clean the house when the little ones are up. Thank you soo always sharing your stories with us. And @brenden I felt you brother when you said date nights haven't been happening in a while. Same here. We will fix this and @mpoomy I'm also not a nice person when I didn't start my day with Jesus😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

I don't think it's wrong, it boils down to understand that you live for an audience of one, that is God, many a times, we get married and loose ourselves on who God wants us to be, yes there's a need to still understand that my position in the marriage as a man or woman is unique and a special place God anointed for me and important to embrace.

I am a huge believer in prioritising yourself in marriage. I learned over the first few years in marriage that when I began prioritising myself, it spilled over so positively into my husband and kids without leaving me feeling drained. No matter how loving the marriage or relationship is, no external factor can fill what self love and paying attention to yourself has to fill.

💯 agree with breaking the stigma around routine. Again it goes back to your personality type “introvert vs extrovert”. Honestly do what works best for you as an individual as you have nothing to prove to man. As long as what you do is honouring and glorifying God - that’s all that matters. He knows our hearts, He knows our intentions. Niyangichaza, ngiyanithanda. 🥂 to prioritising self in order to becoming best partners for our spouses and those around us. #livingauthentically Love, Mrs Nacho
