No, enjoy her, you can Also use her only against the hardest content and limitations for example 2 break DPS (Boothill + Firefly) or no Ruan Mei/MC, don't just use her for all content

​@@kennyralph7290most of the bosses with break lock have a mechanic to free the thoughness bar, if u think that way u always can make a character bad in a specific situation, if u made a boss that in a stage where their effect resistence is super high, Acheron will drop a lot of potential because her ult recharge when debuffs are apply

Very true. Once the content designed is phased, they would immediately feel that huge decrease in power. I first tried her in the gold and gears and didn't feel as strong when I played her on MoC and AS.

I feel the same LMAO but with E2 Acheron. She is Mei variant so I really like her but I kinda regret it. I saved 300+ pulls for her as a monthly pass-only player. I have already not played her since I tried the E2 power, so far moc never really got me in trouble.

I say enjoy her while she lasts, eventually theres gonna be more toughness bar locking enemies to counter the break teams as they are honestly kinda crazy right now. However you can always just like clear an moc without her and then just go back and use her for a like high score or whatever

Honestly I think the main reason they don't let you toggle eidolons is cuz they don't want players to know they exact value they're getting from them. Like, if a player pulled an E6/4/2 unit and then toggled off the eidolons, only to realize that they were still able to clear content easily, they'd be less likely to spend on eidolons in the future. Additionally, if a player gets an eidolon and keeps it turns off, that eidolon essentially becomes a waste in their eyes. In a way it cheapens what an eidolon is. Instead of a boost to a character, it's a waste of money cuz it feels unnecessary.

Bosses that have permanent or high uptime of toughness protection would force you to think about the fight when playing a break team and would likely not affect other teams as much because they don’t rely on break to function.

How far would you go with the self ban? Not using her in MOC or apocalyptic shadow seems self evident for example, but what about simulated or divergent universe? Or mandatory battles in every patches story? I don’t think this is a question we could really answer for you, it depends on what you value. But I think you could be safe in playing a soft limit on your firefly useage instead of a hard limit. Finding a balance might help you get the most of both worlds, because I doubt that you want to just not play firefly entirely. Like I said, it’s up to you. Hope you find a way that fits your enjoyment of the game best, and hopefully Hoyo will allow us to deselect Eidolons in a future update

I cleared all the harsest modes without FF with DOT and follow up. It is harder on DU and very annoying but I cleared it twice with non firefly teams. It is doable without break but DU is designed for FF and FF only

E1 is not a braindead move, BUT a "strategy" coz you get to use other characters with spammable Burst breakers like Welt, Argenti, Serval or even the supports Asta and HMC with their multi hit skills. Gallagher and Ruan mei can also be put in another team who needs them. E2+ is what makes Firefly Unneccessarily overpowered, like all the other DPses.

Love her so much, and gratefully getting her E1 because my Firefly so freakin fast (230+ speed during Combustion) and became so hungry for SP. But after getting her E, my team became so SP positives 😂.. Idk but, looking at SP barely always full kinda feel so wrong for me..

Only if you use Yunli! She will be fun to play(since counter players require some thinking;especially if you’re using advance forward). Also e2 Archeron is the same powerlevel. I use e0s0 Firefly and it’s tricky. No Ruan Mei too! Firefly becomes a SP chugging machine. Even if I’m using Hanya or Sparkle.

E0S0 Aeon Firefly is still so strong even though I have to care about skill point usage. If I had E1 or higher it would be too ridiculous. But honestly I’m loving how strong she is as I can finally clear the endgame content.

Personally, I ban Harmony MC before Firefly. Apparently, the super break provided by MC yields 90% of her damage. I would also shy away from the cookie cutter team comp everyone says to use and try something really exploratory and janky.

​@@xxxxxx-ks7dv not really. most supports amp the dps. someone like sparkle bronya or rm make ur dps generaly multiply the dps' dmg by something like x2.1 ish with robin being the exception giving sth like x2.5 multiplier on top of doing her personal dmg in that sense hmc isnt mutltiplicative but rather completely ignores you dps dmg which is both good for new players, and cringe for old ones as it completely invalidates all the relics u farmed in the past year

The character that is attacking makes HMC buff causes more damage, similar to Robin additional attack, but HMC buffs Break for the team makes Super Break special mechanic causes more damage and adapt to the element of the attacker, others supports buffs the damage of the team directly withour giving benefits to themself.

This is why I don't even pull signatures unless I love the character AND they're a support/defensive option. HSR is fun but the simplicity of turn based games makes it so the minute it's too easy the fun factor tanks. Tbh you could always use her to quickly clear things brainlessly when you don't wanna spend too long playing.

I can see your issue: my e1s1 Firefly is a real beast, and I'm looking at her stats and wondering where I can really improve, because she is so straightforward, and so many normal DPS stats don't really meaningfully affect her. That said, I fell hard for Firefly in 2.0, and so I'm hopeful that she'll be helping me clear content for several (many) patch cycles to come. I am curious though; what is your second break team, I assume it's based around Boothill? I don't have him myself, so I'm wondering how a break team without H-TB works. As an aside, I am quite interested to see if and how Harmony MC will be replaced as a provider of superbreak. While I enjoy the thematic element of FF and TB being joined at the hip (so to speak), FF's teams seem quite restrictive at the moment.

I think i might be lucky because i evaded the trap(I fell for aqueron so no more, but for her was more or less justified, i needed a AOE character plus if you want to farm the overworld/SU she is the queen), even if FF is one of my most loved characters in story and aestheticly, gameplaywise is too braindead for me, thats why I summoned for Boothill and not both!

I think we in a sense give away a portion of our lives, income, other things we could be doing to succeed in these games. I also think SR devs have a knack for punishing overconfidence, and most importantly, I think banning a char you've been looking forward to for so long and sacrificed so much for just sounds really stupid in my head, I can't tell you what your sweetspot for challenge is since you already abandoned 4 stars only but I would urge you to just keep using her at least as a backup plan when you start struggling with the content, because if you give away so much and then the one time things go your way you turn it down, are you really having more fun that way? In my head it doesn't make sense but it's your account so do what you want

For firefly I've only considered e1 and maybe the lc. I think e2 is a littlie bit overkill, but who knows maybe i'll get her to that point in the future . Just a lottle question : Does ruan mei e1 works for break and DoTs? Because I've thinking in getting that eq before the banner goes away

S1 is like an 8% increase in DPS though, I wouldn't recommended over S5 fall of an aeon. E1 is leagues better.

Give a handicap to your firefly e2 team, such as not using gal/hmc/rm, you can replace gal with asta or hmc and replace with silver wolf, ruan mei can be replaced with a sustain character

For me , I enjoyed break before when it was so OP , break was niche and fun thing to do. It was full of strategy. With FF, HMC , and Boothill , it has become busted. I just like break teams with HMC and RM now , no need for boothill and FF. They make it too easy even at e0

I derive so much more enjoyment through skillful piloting of characters and thoughtful teambuilding. That's why I'm always pull for new character Just no simp also skipping all their signature weapon So i can test and justify their performance I regrets pulling JY and ratio LC tho both is my fav chara, with that amount if pull i can get maybe swan for my ez pf dot Now I'm suffering on PF DoT stage never gonna get 12 star due lack of DoT units (don't suggest build guin or sampo, I don't wanna waste my resource on 4 star DOT)

Thinking investing on 4 star units is a waste is very wrong, but the account is yours, so that aside just use the buff that applies wind shear on the enemies when they join and play normally. If you have enough damage they'll be dead or near dead, get advanced, take their turn and die to the stage dot. It should not be preventing 12 star, you could also exploit the advance with counter units.

The problem exists because free turns and 0 skill point consumption are the most broken thing a unit can be given, and she gets both. Some people say that the current patch is catering to her and new enemies will lock their toughness bar. Okay? Most of the content that matters has 2 sides. She's always going to be that broken unit that stomps content with your brain turned off. I have her at e0s1 (not the optimal pull, but hey, it's not boring, silver lining.) and she's miles better than any other unit in the game. I don't think they'll ever add an eidolon toggle. They almost did it in Zenless Zone Zero but it was just for the art on the page where you see/activate them...

Honestly I'm voting yes, at least for the last stage of MoC/AS. She's brain-dead to use even at E0, and the most fun part of watching your runs is your ability to bring out the strategy portion of the strategy game. Of course, it's your choice. I bet having an easy option after all the previous MoCs is a breath of fresh air!

Well... Honestly I was surprised when you activated it in the first place. I thought this would happen. Anyway, togglable eidolon would be nice. It happen a lot to me on genshin. I have a friend who don't believe he can clear the abyss, and who belive in what content creators said about some weak unit, so he doesn't give unit a chance. I want to show him that with a bit of skill, even unit like eula and dehya, who a lot belive being the worst 5* in the game (I don't believe it, but that's another argument) can clear anyway . But because both my dehya and eula are C6 he doesn't believe me. He challenged me to clear with his dehya and his eula, but 1, he has to do his own, and 2, one thing is c0, another is lvl 70 with talent at 6, 4*R1 weapon and trash artifact. That's not giving them a chance. At the end I showed him by removing the goblet and using a 4* weapon on my account, but he still would not believe me because of my constellation.

This is why pulling for limited eidolons is very bad, it's where the devs hid the powercreep risks in order to keep the base game free of it for everyone to enjoy the same playing field. There were two "safeguards" in place, first is having to get an eidolon and second is having to activate it. While eidolon toggle doesn't sound like it would hurt anyone, this is self-inflicted at the end of the day, I'm not sure how far they're willing to commit for something the players have full power to not cause.

As far as self-banning goes, I don't think it's necessary, but the same crowd complaining Ruan Mei exists and they don't have her will keep shitting on the videos. You could just relegate her to fire weak floors like it would naturally happen with other break dps or something, because it would be pretty pointless to disregard the enemy puzzle the devs put in the floors through her implant for other element matchups.

you're only halfway there, e6 is her "as strong as possible", with that extra 50% efficiency. I would recommend enjoying her as much as possible & only banning whenever you want more challenge for a stage/mode

Firefly is not as good as some ppl think. If enemies are invulnerable to toughness damage, she just doesnt work, and other break teams either. There are already some enemies who do this. Also right now all the buffs go into making her look OP.

It doesn’t really matter for the simple fact that toughness bar invulnerability is not permanent on any current enemy. Unless you play for 0 cycles, the conditions to dispel the invulnerability are all easily achievable, especially for firefly. Most of the time they won’t even get the chance to activate it considering how fast she can break the bar. The only enemy who’s really a problem is gepard with the shield, other than that she doesn’t struggle much

That's the point of break teams, highly functional, highly specific. Even element self-implant makes me feel the devs overstepped in order to make the playstyle more universal, when I wished they would keep the limitations and just buff the strong aspects even more. The downsides of having to appeal to as much of an audience as possible.
