Replaced the starter on a 1990 Lexus LS400 for a friend of a friend.
This repair was done in April 17, 2013 with a hand held camera, Samsung HMX-W190. The time when i started to video my repairs.
I could not afford the Gopro Hero 4 at the time. But the video still looks good.
If you are wondering why I didn't show video of me putting back the parts. My camera was already low on battery and it was getting late.

Add intake and plenum gasket install fees, clean carbon from intake, o-rings for injectors, all the small things that will make this a proper starter replacement. I like your work man, respect for you and your family. 🤙

I changed out the starter on my 1996 LS400 many years ago. It was a rough job down in between the banks. Not a fun job

Half of the engine has been disassembled in order to replace the starter bunker in the core of the engine ... it's a complicated engine .... well done .

Damn, mad respect man... if a friend asked me to help with the starter and I can't visually see the whole thing without disassembling a few parts, I'd turn em away! LoL... it's like the designers were like, "and this is our v8 model, it fits in the bay perfectly!" "Ugh, where's the starter?" "SHII...uhm, we can put it in this little space here, more money for the techs!"

Wow never seen a starter inside the intake manifold that's crazy engineering Lexus.! And to insure that a starter replacement has to be done by a professional So much for the DIY guy. That motor had so many vacuum hoses just stuff all over the intake I must admit had me scratching my head and second guessing if I could do this job. Fix it Angel you rock.! Professional Philppino🤣
