Should I Stop at Secondary Traffic Lights

Should I Stop at Secondary Traffic Lights: Red traffic light means Stop. But where do we stop? At the white stop line. Red light actually means STOP at or before the white stop line.
We will deal with going straight first and then deal with the left and right. When we are waiting at the stop line, the red light is high up above us. We would need to look, waiting for the light to change. That does cause neck pain.
So that it is not a pain in the neck, another set of lights duplicating our lights is placed on the other end of the junction. These are known as secondary traffic lights. Their main aim is to prevent us from getting a neck ache. So it looks like the government does want to help you and me.
Once we are over the white stop line, we must not stop at the amber or red secondary lights. I’m going to go for a short drive and show you the second traffic lights in operation.

i am learning to drive a bus and alot of these things was not around when i did my car driving test in 1995. this has been very helpful due to making that mistake turning the bus and it wasn't a secondary traffic light but a crossing. thanks again for the clear explanation.

Sometimes there are too many secondary lights, such as 4 or even more. This can be overload of Information. In my humble opinion they should have it like Dubai, where the secondary light, smaller in size, is just underneath the primary light, in level with the first car driver's sight.

Hi, thanks for your video. I have a question. I did research about how many times we are allowed to correct the parallel parking before it considers a fault. There isn't anything saying we have only one time to correct it, as my instructor told me. I failed my mock test because I tried to contact my parallel parking come and go more than one time to be inside the line.

Good Morning Gardenia. You are correct, there is nothing to say it has to be done in one go, or two or even three for that matter. Examiners are usually fair, if you make a mistake and moved forward to correct it, and are almost there, they will allow you to move forward again. However, if it seems that you are purely guessing and not making progress, they will not allow you to keep going. The aim is to do it in the least maneuvers

Hi, I have a question. At 4:49 whilst at the box junction, could you have driven on through the gap in cars, or did you have to wait for their lights to turn red?

If I pass the green on the first light and get stuck in traffic in the centre before the secondary light and it goes red and the green man is now flashing and pedestrians are crossing at what point do I now pass the secondary light?

Hello. Firstly, regardless of the colour of the traffic light, you must allow the pedestrians to cross. In the situation you mentioned, you may proceed as soon as the pedestrians have crossed the road
