I will send this to our executive sponsor before the next Steerco. Eric says don’t fire me! 😅

I have done three implementations two of them are failure recoveries. Most of the time there is a failure it is a failure of management more than a failure of the IT or accounting team although they are complicit often. One of the biggest issues I see is that the IT and or accounting team just don't have enough of a spine to say no. No is the most important word in our entire language and people don't say it nearly enough. As far as the people should be fired at least in my limited experience they should be fired during projects not after the failure. It becomes readily apparent when you have people that put their heels down and refuse to move forward. Those people need to find a different opportunity in a different company and you need to find people that can help you push the ball forward. Something I see you say in your videos often is that people have a job already and that is a fact. Something none of the teams ever want to hear is that you have to overhire into an ERP implementation, It has to be factored into the cost that you are going to need more accounting people, and more IT more operations. Because all of those people that are going to be in ERP meetings and planning and whatnot are now all of a sudden not doing their job and it can cause serious business problems.
