You have the rare ability to state your opinions without sounding like a self-important know-it-all. Your thoughts on this topic, as on others, make so much sense to me. A few years after my hair started turning gray, it developed a new tone and texture that people tell me is very attractive. I am glad I never gave a thought to dying it. P.S. I like the way you sneak the cigars into these videos.

I agree that confidence in ourselves is key. For me, it’s just a new stage in life and my wife likes it. I used to work with a gentleman in his 60s who died his hair and beard Elvis black. To me that came across as an insecurity. I’m all for owning what we’re given and being confident in our own skin. I do understand, as you mentioned, younger people who have grayed early and want their appearance to be representative of their age. No disagreement here on any points you made.

For us folks with special someone, it’s definitely a good feeling knowing that they still love us regardless of what aging brings to the table. That’s love right there!

I totally agree. I know we are in the minority here, but I don't care for greys. I think it evokes a over 50 look that I'm not attracted to... 50-65 maybe start slowing down and showing that salt and pepper thing.

I've been mostly grey since I was in my 30's. I've dyed it once or twice in the past and both times it was WRONG for me. I just have to accept it and roll with it. I do get compliments on it all the time.

I started to get some grey in my thirties, I am now 58 and at long last my hair is not only fully grey but it is going how I really hoped it would which is white. I love my hair being grey and never died it (with one exception to that in the early eighties when I made the huge mistake of having highlights to give me the "George Michael" look. I hated it and could not wait for it to grow out. I am all for keeping healthy but when it comes to looks my feeling has always been that if you need to find confidence in changing your appearance by dying your hair or pumping up muscles to beyond normal then there is a far greater issue at hand that needs to be looked at if you need that to boost confidence or make people see them in a different way. If it it is a confidence issue then I truly feel one needs to look inside, not out! Work on why you lack confidence then you give yourself a much more secure footing in life and can do then whatever you want and change your appearence if you want. Changing appearence is arse about face! I don´t agree that its OK for women. We need to shift this attitude to empower women more not continue the stereotype that the only way a woman will get a man is through better looks. The biggest reasons this world is in the state it is in are ego, superficiality and the ever present need to have more and more money. All these things are like cancers and do not create the inner peace and confidence that supports humanity, rather, it takes away from humanity. I had really hoped that the pandemic would have shifted perspectives but it seems the opposite is true for many, it has intensified the need for ego and superficiality to get people through.

Impressive correspondence my friend! Thank you for the great word of wisdom. I’m turning 49 next week and I have embraced my age without a doubt. My friends are all doing the opposite but I have maintained my ethos. I love what my age is all about. Believe it or not , I’ve stayed away from social media because of vain and negative people. I’ll keep posting here for others to enjoy. Have a great one!

Men should do what they want. When we are younger, women are so hot, so beautiful, almost on another level to men. But as we get older, the tables turn in our favor. While most women look less attractive with age, most men become more handsome, more distinguished looking, more intelligent looking. If you keep your body in shape and take care of your skin, you will look better. The author of this video, does not look old with his gray hair, he looks more bad ass. I say leave it gray, and spend the time and money working on your body and your skin.

I don’t think there will ever be an agreement simply because people are free to do what they please. Whether it looks good or bad, if they feel good in it, it’s for them. Confidence is from within, if certain clothing, boots, hair colors makes someone feel better, more power to them.

Personally, not a fan of hair dye for men. Something about it just doesn't seem right. And, 100% not for myself. Both of my parents had gray hair at a young-ish age, and my hair began to gray in my mid-30's. At 64, I'm now more gray than brown, and my beard is gray as well. I agree with you that it is better to be confident in who we are. Be proud of our age, wisdom and acquired knowledge. The patina of aging is something that men can wear well. Be healthy mentally and physically, take care of your mind, body and psyche. Be kind to family, friends and strangers alike. No need to hide who we are behind hair dye.

Yes exactly! Too many men just aren’t confident enough to rock grey hair. I have friends that look silly with dyed hair but look old anyway.
