I started going going gray around 16 and it slowly started getting more and more gray until I had to start dying it. I kept it a secret until I started seeing this girl from New Zealand. She saw some of my grays before I had the chance to dye it again and said I looked good with it. That was when I was 25, in 27 now and haven’t died it since. My family and friends that haven’t seen me in a while are completely shocked as are some strangers I bump into that ask my age.

And I was so happy you answered my fan letter, and sent all those nice presents. I've been missing my friend lately, he died of an overdose years ago, and idk, seeing your videos, knowing you're doing better, and seeing other fans talk about their recovery stories, it really makes me feel hopeful, you're helping others get better/get help/etc. I'm just so emotional, idk what else to say. Oh yeah, happy late birthday btw. Also, Johnny is still incredibly handsome! Haha, I remember when the preview for Jackass Forever was out last year, and I was like "Oh my gosh, he's silver now!" I shaved my head last year at 35. My hair was thinning too much. I had hair like young knoxville and even styled it to almost look like his. But age got to my hair (or could be my sons). Then I came across a youtube channel called BaldCafe, a positive channel for young balding guys. Since I have done it I have been a lot happier. Basically Johnny story of his hair and going back and fourth on coloring it is like how stressed I was when I was trying to keep my hair. Like him, once you embrace it its not bad at all. Its how you deal with it that makes the difference. I do still wish I had my college hair, but I am just as happier being bald now.

I commented before that JK looks great with the grey hair. I'm a woman and had a similar experience as him. I started getting greys in my late 20s and dyed it until two years ago - I was 51. The maintenance of dying starts to wear on you and the grey roots come in so fast the older you get. My hair is far healthier and thicker now, but some days I'm not sure I like the color that much. I was always cool with going grey. Apparently I am balding now and that really PISSES ME OFF!!. Not because of aging. I have had to cut my hair for jobs multiple times in my life. I also had to cut my hair due to catholic school. I have fought for long hair my entire fucking life. I know that it has done nothing for me socially, economically or financially. I know it's an issue almost no one gives a fuck about. For me to now be balding at 44 after trying so fucking hard to show people that I am not their assumption. Trying so hard to just want to not have those assumptions placed upon me....and succeeding with the people that worked with me........and now I'm starting to lose it. I don't know. It's just another kick into the downward spiral that is life. I truly think that if "karma" exists, it only works in reverse. I will still keep my hair long regardless, I guess I will just look even weirder. =/ Edit: One of the things that enrages me are the hair commercials for men. How many of those commercials show men with long hair? They show men with styled hair. At the same time I am creeped out at changing my hormones. So I have no idea what I will do. (believe it or not, this is not a subject I spend time thinking about to much)
