id be down to do preorders esp with the older travis shoes

I’ve never been a fan of the idea of preorders. I’m not giving “loans” to these big brands and like you said what if there’s issues with production. Or what if there’s 5 sneakers I want dropping close together ? I’m supposed to spend a G for pairs I won’t get for a year ? I enjoy the chase as well like you touched on. Lastly, ppl were doing chargebacks after 2 weeks waiting for their Action Bronson to ship…but they’re acting like they’d be fine waiting for 8+ months. No way

Pre orders is cool with me especially if it’s exclusively for high heat items. I don’t really care about bringing hype back or chasing sneakers, I’m damn near 40 and don’t have time to be chasing sneakers. Pretty much I greatly value convenience over “the chase”, also did we forget how Zadeh was holding folks cash for months to a year plus to lock in pairs. Pretty much I guess it depends on why you got into sneakers if pre-orders will work for the individual or not.

Not just pre orders, but orders in general. If you want the pair, nike should let us order them, and in 4-6 weeks they'll make them and ship them to us. Even the crazy expensive pairs. It'll kill the resale market and give the customers what they want.

Amazing Video. I have been watching you since day 1. You are such a great person in real life. I Love your channel cuz you keep it real. Amazing asset to the sneaker community

Preordering shoes would be a great idea for Kobe’s imo. A lot of people want to ball in them and they always sell out immediately. They can make basic colorways and have a window of time open for a week where people that want the shoes can get them.
@Watch.Ur_Step7 ай бұрын
nike went overboard trying to kill reselling and instead destroyed their own market by over-saturating. they need to pull back stock, limit the colors, and create new shoes. Jordan brand is another problem, their best shoes are 30yr old retros.
@miketuminelli7 ай бұрын
My answer would be take a hint from sportscards game . Mix in numbered parallel's . 500 pairs with different laces...1000 pairs with different soles. 5000 pairs with X something different ... all mixed into the GR release. Nike is already changing their return policy. You can only exchange for a base pair and if sold out , only credit. no refunds. Oh yeah ...the cherry on top will be 5 pairs(5-5) will have larry bird signature . and 1-1 will be MJ auto on shoe...

I’m cool with preorders. My time is valuable and if I don’t have to spend time search for releases. Especially for limited releases yeah.
@sneakerking3317 ай бұрын
how bout instead of exclusive access do preorders who took Ls for a particular model the a customer might be interested in and let them get them ahead of everyone
@benyetothe7 ай бұрын
Yeah I think Nike should try it. Like you said what do they have to lose at this point. Try it for a GR shoe, and then try it for a Travis Scott Jumpman Jack colorway, or some kind of desirable Jordan brand collab.

What’s crazy Roszko is everyone could preorder that genesis dunk which you did and it didn’t kill market it’s going for over double 😂 so it works like you said if they do it with just some shoes. Also if they did short window preorders on hype shoes they could still have value due to them not dropping again or people missing it. I do love that rare GOT’EM screen on a limited shoe though it’s the best
@orinlupe9927 ай бұрын
At this point just do preorders. I can care less. If they allow stores to order multiple purchases per pre order it still keeps resale alive because everyone probably wont have the money at the time of preorder plus people just miss out on shit so the resellers will still be there for those that don’t follow the sneaker game like that. I will definitely value my shoe just as much because It’s still hype shit either way. The problem is how long does it take to get the preorder? Can they do it in a month time? lol
@dakbulgogi7 ай бұрын
Like you said Roszko, I would be down for a pre-order for a shoe or two a year. Maybe just for brands that they want to promote/share like RTFKT. It doesn't hurt to do one of these again.

I built relationships and networked my way into one helluva collection. Pre order is a smack in the face to those who actually TRY and get shoes. (Excluding folks in low population areas) respectfully

I also built connections from buying heavy for 16 years but now I’m cool with availability and convenience since I’m at the point in my life where I enjoy seeing others cop their favs. When I was younger I was all about flexing and the “I have these and you don’t” mentality when it came to sneakers.

Hi man so listen, I was in the Sneaker Game for the last 7 years since the Ten I got everything but recently I just began to lose the complete interest in the shoes. I mean I guess it's not because of the value but because of the creativity and that Nike already "screwed up themselves" for letting us suffer for the last years and let resellers control the market. Hundreds of shoes and now I follow nothing about them anymore. Am I the only one thinking like that? On top of that.. to just answer yuor question without watching the video: It's already too late. What for preorders? They re releasing any sheet and it is all more affordable now. It's not as valuable as it was years ago. Hype gone man.
@Roszko727 ай бұрын
I mean you’re not the only one… so many ppl have moved on from shoes. The interest seems to be dying more and more each month
@southstaronline7 ай бұрын
Sneaker market cannot be saved at this point. Everything is accessible thanks to StockX and you get constant reminders that the shoes you want, you can no longer afford to buy. You're also then met with the plight of justifying keeping any retail pair you hit, when they're now worth $1000, for example. It's now just become a better practice to buy stuff that's a little easier to hit, is moderately rare, and something you like (example of all 3 could be some Supreme SB's). Resellers have the market on lock and they do have their customers, so no change to the deal sneaker market is on the horizon. Not to mention, fakes are getting better by the day and folk are settling in growing numbers.

I have to give you some push back for you're beliefs of "The Chase". Back in the day the chase was real and you had to put in foot work to obtain what you want. No problem with that, totally respect it. But now these days.... there is no chase dude. There is a bunch of people that choose to resell as their carrier, and bots/backdooring to show for it. Its like playing game where you are restricted to playing by the rules but, you're opponent starts off with a 20 point lead and is allowed to cheat and break the rules. Dosen't seem like much does it? I would rather take a L because everyone got lucky on the draw instead of taking a L because the game was rigged from the start.

How many pairs of wave runners do you have? Did adidas lose money after you doubled up? Nope because you went back for more and it wasn’t less desirable 😂
@Roszko727 ай бұрын
True but those wave runners were spread out over 4/5 years giving time to let things breath. I wore my first pair a lot which made me want to get another pair.
