No. Its a bad move! He would take the risk of his draft stock going down by going to another program, especially if he goes there & doesn’t perform well!

Keshawn, staying at Texas isn't an option fro Ewers. They aren't keeping Manning on the bench for a 3rd year. Ewers is out after the playoffs regardless of the outcome. It is what it is.

@bert8912 күн бұрын
Him transferring just for NIL is stupid because he’s not going to a team/roster with a better offensive head coach better than Texas. He’ll look worse next year and his draft stock will fall further in a draft with more QB’s than the current draft. He’s better off going 2nd or 3rd round this draft versus risking a bad season and going in the back of the draft or not getting drafted at all.
@boblansonfig39722 күн бұрын
He can transfer to Oregon
@bert8912 күн бұрын
@ So transfer to Oregon for a one year NIL deal versus getting drafted in the 2nd-4th rd (4 year NFL contract) and being developed in the NFL…….That’s a no brainer. Ewers isn’t Gabriel, Gabriel had to get one last NIL payday.

The debate on NIL and player choices is getting more complex. Quinn Ewers' situation really highlights how the future of college football could shift with the growing influence of money over loyalty and team dynamics.
@IncomeMachine-d6g2 күн бұрын
Quinn Ewers' future is fascinating! His talent is undeniable, but the NIL landscape is changing everything. It'll be interesting to see if he values stability or jumps for the big paydays. Keyshawn and RJ bring up some tough questions here.

I think Quinn being going in the 2nd round is actually the best outcome for him. He still has work to do on things, like his throwing mechanics, that you don't work on with your starting QB. Things where your performance gets worse before it gets better. As a 1st rounder there would be pressure to start him sooner. As a 2nd rounder, they would start doing the work that could turn him into a really good QB.
@roguemaster80993 сағат бұрын
He’s not going second round.

Take Quinn for instance, there’s rumors a big 10 team is offering him 4M next year to transfer. If he were to go into the draft as currently stands he’d probably be a 2nd to 4th round pick and maybe make 1M or less while sitting on the bench and learn most likely. If he stays he can add 1 more year of experience and his draft stock possibly would go up depending on his performance. It just depends on how much NIL is offered and what round you get drafted.
@MonnyYellКүн бұрын
@ a second round QB will make more than $1m and will be pushed into the starting lineup before the year is up. Some of the first picks in the second round of the draft can expect to make nearly $10 million in their four-year rookie contracts,
@MonnyYellКүн бұрын
@ Players picked in the third round can expect to make between $5.5 million and $6 million in their rookie deals, which also include an option for a fifth year.

Keyshawn just had a great conversation that no one is talking about. These players not seeing half of the money they are promise. Texas AM claims to have so much money which maybe true but they had alot players leave cause they didn't get the money they was promise. They get 1 payment than the rest never get paid. Mich Qb will never see half of that 10 million. It just look good on paper.

Transferring just for NIL isn’t stupid. If Key was in this position, he would do the same thing. It is about gaining equity because the NFL is NOT guaranteed for anyone. It is literally good business sense. Key is being an old head here. He is so hard headed, there are 6th round picks with endorsements now lol.
