I think Renfrow is the best WR#3 option. That's only if no one on the roster steps up and looks like the legit #3.

Slot receivers are looked down upon. The question really needs to be? Why are they so rare? The number one requirement is to know how to get separation. Learning how to get separation also seems to be the hardest thing to teach a receiver. Theilens' best years were when he played the slot with Diggs on the outside. If they can get him back to play the slot, it would be awesome. Imagine four receivers that could get 1000 yards.

They will need a 3rd option to step up for the first few weeks. Once Hockenson is healthy he will be that go-to 3rd target. Aaron Jones is also a great receiving back so that helps. You'd love to see one of the current guys step up because of the cap issues. Ideally a guy with the ability to be a true Z receiver so Addison can be used more out of the slot. Addison did a great job last year filling that role and lining up as a Z most of the time, but he would be dangerous as a slot receiver and utility receiver that can be moved around formations to get match ups.

Maybe for $5. Sure one of the all time greats, loved him while here, but how he left and his delusional attitude about wanting more than 107 targets which was more than most wr2s, and saying the panthers have a real SB chance plus his annoying wife talkin ish, no thanks. Like rumors of JJ holding out would sour everyone on him even if he succeeds, the way Thielen left really soured me on him despite how great he was while here and his story.

I was back home in Minnesota last May and I dragged my sister to a tour of the stadium. Once it was done, we went to the vikings store. The sales woman included a program from the previous year and Thielen was on the cover. I can't remember how we started talking about him but I said something about him slowing down some so not surprised the team moved on. Sales woman was NOT happy with me! I love Thielen and his story is a great one. I wouldn't mind seeing him back.

I don’t really think Thielen is all that anymore. He’s in decline and the Vikings would have to pay more than Thielen is worth. Brandon Powell was good last year and he can definitely be WR3. I don’t know why you pour cold water on him.

I would love to see thielen again in purple like he was a walk on and proved he should have been better.... For a walk on to be better then some 1st rounders is something to say the system is broken. Ahhh no! The Vikings aren’t in position to sign an old guy that they have to give up capital to get. This year is the rebuild year of a QB and Bridge QB plus we have essentially a brand new defense up front. 24’ isn’t the year for old flames. Maybe 25’ or 26’ when we’re a piece away but I think by then all those young players they drafted will make good. No big splashes unless they can land a young defensive tackle who’s dynamite but I think the time has passed for any new editions that would wow us. Dance with the girl that brung ya is the 24’-25’ season I’m afraid.

As a Vikings fan of more than 50 years, I'm all for bring Thielen back to retire. But we should be trying to bring back Adrian Peterson . He's the single greatest Viking RB ever, and one of greastest in NFL history. I'm shocked how he's been snubbed.
