Devin, my car had a P0017 code if you look on evo x forums on FB. From what I gathered oil control solenoids, camshaft position sensor could be melted and if any wiring associated with that will throw a P0365 code will throw if the wiring gets disconnected from the sensor on the camshaft sensor. Crankshaft position sensor could also be bad or not reading correctly. I have two spare camshaft position sensors if it doesn’t get fixed I wouldn’t mind sending out. Obviously your chain isn’t stretched it’s the revised one but it could always jump timing not sure but I figured at least I’d share my experience.

when you replace a timing chain on a 10 you need to do a re-learn for the ECU since the new chain is slightly shorter than the original one

Just a tip invest in a coolant refiller kit . It uses air and it sucks the air out and will tell you if you have any leaks before the fluid goes in

Check the wiring going to that sensor! Chased that issue on my buddies Evo x for weeks! Ended up being a crappy wire extension job! Worth a shot!

Camshaft sensor to be exact! Based on your video the wire does look like it’s been extended at some point.. I could be wrong.

BTW a little trick baby tube wedges (literally a steel wedge 3/4 thick down to nothing ) they work amazing for popping the control arms

Update, exhaust MIVEC cam gear seals appear to be the failure point, but might be linked to stiffer valve springs. It will be interesting to see if the replacement cam gear fixes the issue.

P0017 happened to me after doing a head recently. Checked the grounds especially by the thermostat housing and it fixed it
