Praise God for equipping this man to minister the gospel so wonderfully. I had the pleasure of meeting John at the ambassadors academy and he is every bit the compassionate and humble person you meet here in this video. Thank you for the encouragement!

Yes and and because we have Jesus we can have other members of Body of Christ pray for us, whether on earth or in Heaven

@@jimdrummer816 1 Tim 2:5 dont forget the FOR in the beginning of the verse, it means because, which means you need to read the verses before that. 1 Tim 2:1 First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people Paul told the Christians to pray, and how is that our prayers are useful? because Jesus is the "one mediator" who ensures the members of the Body of Christ can have their request heard and answered by God. That is what the verse is trying to say. If "one mediator" means your prayer can only go directly to Jesus, and Jesus then will relay the message to God the Father, and you can ask no help from other people to pray for you, then "one God" is also excluding Jesus being God. By that logic you are saying Jesus is not God and not human but something in between. Also, what about people who directed pray to the Father? is their prayer no going to be answered? What the ancient churches mean by praying to saint is simply requesting them to pray to God for you, just like you ask someone on earth to pray for you, not that they can answer your prayer directly. Pray means "to make a request in a humble manner" (webster dictionary). And how do you know that the Holy Spirit can't let your prayers be heard by the Saints in heaven? just like in Revelation 5:13. Are you going to say John becomes omniscient? of course not. The Holy Spirit allowed him to hear every creature.

It’s hard to pin this down with a Catholic who knows their Catholic Catechism because they don’t believe in sola scriptura and that church doctrines “develop” through magisteriums by the Holy Spirit. It’s a slippery slope, which is why the RCC is battling with the idea of “blessing” same-sex couples. If the pope, the “Vicar of Christ” claims this is a development by the Holy Spirit can Catholics say no?

To my understanding, orthodoxy don't pray to saints, they ask for the saints prayers. The saints were holy ones and truly understood the word. I dont think any orthodox christian should or does pray TOO the saints, right?

And what would that action of communicating to a dead saint, existent only in spirit, be called? Secondly: "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" - 1 Timothy 2:5

If one is really to follow the bible, there would be no confusions. The problem arises when justification of ones opinion is pushed through and covers them with excuses. I am not a religous person but your bible clearly says the instruction on John 14:16 and the only thing believers should do is to follow the word without embellishing them with their own ideas.

@@CAHiredGun are you saying that the saints are dead? what happened to John 11:25? “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live". They do exist as spirits for now, but does that mean they can't pray for us, other members of Body of Christ? Revelation 6:9-11 You can see the martyred saints in Heaven are talking to God, and God is telling them what is happening on earth. Why can you not ask the Holy Spirit to relay your prayer requests to the saints in Heaven, so they are pray to God for you, just like you ask members of Body of Christ on earth to pray for you? Secondly, you are misreading 1 Tim 2:5. the verse starts with "for", meaning you need to read the verses before it to see the context. The verse is only meant say Christians should pray for everyone, and prayers of the Body of Christ will be efficacious, because Jesus is our high priest, and He makes our prayers acceptable. It does NOT mean you can only pray to Jesus and only Jesus will relay the prayer to the Father. If you think the verse means that, then I can use the same logic and say Jesus is not God, because it says "one God" and it differentiates God from Jesus. That also means if you pray to the Father directly, then your prayers won't be answered, because it has to go through Jesus first. Think deeply, don't just parrot other people's arguments.
