That right there is yet another "paradox" of Christianity. The Biblical God is not as moral (by secular standards anyway) as the vast majority of the people who worship him! 😮💨I will grant Christians the "God's ways are different than human ways" but by "different" wouldn't it make sense that their god's "ways" tilt towards demonstrating & advocating for higher/better moral standards versus lower/worse standards? 🤔IMHO Divine Command Theory is the worst reason for excusing/rationalizing the violent insanity & contradictory bipolar nature of their god. Divine Command Theory is like writing God a blank check with no auditing - nor even concern - as to where their funds are being spent. "God must have had a reason" 😇makes about as much sense as "Hitler/Idi Amin/Joseph Stalin must have had a reason" 🤩. Sidenote what did Jesus accomplish when it comes to helping humans become more loving humans? My takeaway is Jesuses message was "Hey - the world is going to STAY jacked up just like it was when my dad was running the show as a solo act, but he's getting burned out on managing the whole "sacrifices for iniquities" thing, so I will be your sacrifice - but there's a catch! Believe in and worship me, or when you pass away you go to this new place of eternal fiery torment I came up with. 🙁But turn that frown upside down kids! 🙂As a Club Jesus member, when you pass away you get the privilege of worshipping/praising me 24/7 for all eternity! Yep - no sleep, no vacations, no "alone time" at all really - just worshipping & praising me every moment for the next 73 gazillion years and then some! 😃

Very good. My favorite counter to a flood is, how did any animals survive it, when all plants would have been killed off by a year of kilometers deep water? Nothing would have supported life for the animals on the ark (including humans)

Christopher: Jesus helped people and that's a nice thing to do. Ok, well what about when he refused to help specific people even when they needed it? What about the fact that he said he only came to help the lost sheep of Israel or whatever his specific words were? What about the way he helped people? Dude thought sickness was caused by demons, so if he touched their foreheads and said "demon begone! fantastic, it's gone, and you will recover tomorrow," that's not helping people, that's lying to them. He lied about the end times, about being the son of god, which was blasphemy, and he lied about coming to uphold the law by going against what moses said about family, and instead said to hate your family to be worthy of following him as his disciple. putting one man above your own family was a sin, so technically jesus was a terrible person and should be out to death, and it turns out many people agreed with this lol.

One of the most nauseating things about Jesus to my mind is that he loved having other people wash his feet. Ugh.

Gonna nitpick just one point; Jesus never really declared himself the Son of God. In the words most likely attributed to Jesus the human, he frequently referred to the coming of the Son of Man. However it’s unlikely that he thought of himself that way. That attribution came to him much later

@MeaningOLiff Luke 2:49 says, "Why were you looking for me? Did you not know that I must be in my Father's house?". John 2:16 says, "And he told those who sold the pigeons, 'Take these things away; do not make my Father's house a house of trade'". Matthew 3:17 says, "And a voice from heaven said, 'This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased'". Luke 3:22 describes the descent of the Holy Spirit upon Jesus during his baptism. The verse reads, "And the Holy Spirit descended upon him in bodily form, like a dove, and a voice came from heaven, 'You are my beloved Son; with you I am well pleased'". In John 10:15a and 30, Jesus says, "Just as the Father knows me and I know the Father... I and the Father are one". Mark 14:61 The high priest asks Jesus, "Are you the Messiah, the Son of the Blessed One?" Mark 14:62 Jesus responds, "I am; and you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Mighty One and coming on the clouds of heaven" In this passage, the high priest is questioning Jesus to determine if he claims to be the Messiah. Jesus' response affirms that he is the Messiah and the Son of God. He also says that he will come with the clouds of heaven. Then there is of course Jesus' charge of claiming to be the Son of God, which was blasphemy. I don't know, what you just said doesn't look to be the case. The guy went around claiming to be able to heal people and claimed to be the Messiah along with the Son of God and when people spoke to him as so, he didn't deny it.

Yes, the Christian idealism of Martin Luther King Jr., Jimmy Carter, Archbishop Romero, etc. is so oppressive. It' would be so much better to be in a society which suppresses religion, such as under the rule of Joseph Stalin. If you are dealing in absolutes, it works both ways.

God is the epitome of Holiness because He is sinlessly perfect, A sinner (liar, sexually immoral, taking the Lord’s Name in vain, thief etc) cannot be in the presence of God or else he will be utterly consumed therefore repent of your sins and put your faith in Jesus as your Lord and Saviour to go to Heaven

Jonathan: one simple fact can disprove the global flood by itself. Other civilizations and cultures were around before, during and after the supposed flood. Everyother thing that disproves it is overkill lol.
