Question- I have a picture locked film (comedy), but it hasn't gone through a post house yet to polish sound, coloring, VFX and scoring. Would you still go??? Thx

When you go to the AFM website it prompts you to select which package you want to purchase before you do anything else, so I don't think you'd be able to schedule a pitch session or a meeting of sorts with anyone until you purchase one of the package deals.

You could schedule meetings but you can't get into AFM without a pass. Keep in mind even when you buy a pass, you still need to schedule your own meetings.

Say I have a completed film and I'm looking for distributors and sales agents. You say, if you haven't got the relationships to try to get people to introduce you. What people? I go there alone. I don't know anyone. What would you suggest? How do I get a meeting before I go through Cinando? What could I say? What if I get a meeting? What kind of conversation do I have? Can you coach on that? What's the second half of the market? How long should a meeting be if you're stacking them? Which ticket price would you recommend? I wouldn't go this year since I don't have the film completed and its too big of an expense, but I am planning ahead. Thanks for all the information! its very helpful.

Hi Butch, sorry I missed this one. I'll try answer these as best I can: 1. People you know in the industry who know sales agents and can introduce you. 2. Meet other filmmakers. 3. You don't, you use Cinando to see who is going and then reach out to them to book a meeting. 4. Ask for a meeting. 5. Pitch your film. 6. A pitch meeting. 7. Yes. 8. The second half of the market. 9. 30 minutes. 10. No recommendation.
