my favorite part of your videos is the risk assessment. gotta admit, I never really look too deep into the companies I back 😅and I like how easy it is to find out about the pros and cons of the company and game in your videos!

To be honest I didn’t either for a time, then when I and a friend of mine got burned on separate campaigns it was a bit of a wake up call that we should really do our research as opposed to just backing right away. At the end of the day it’s not retail and we have no guarantees, we’re basically investing in the chance we’ll get a game 😢

I like to keep you guessing 😄 this may sound odd but the quality of the graphic design on this one is a big draw for me, that and I can see the value in the gameplay as there’s a few similarities, or at least anchor points, with the likes of Super Fantasy Brawl which is a game I enjoy. I may not give many yes’ to games like this one but I need to look beyond my preference at times :)

Fully agree... the communication is not the best skill of the company but the game are usually good in gameplay and overall component quality. I'm on the fence on this one but the price is reasonable. VAT is included also for UK (The USA, European Union, Canada, Australia, and United Kingdom will be “Shipping Friendly”. Backers from these countries will not pay import taxes. Please also note that games shipped to these countries also include VAT)

Yeah the gameplay seems like it would be solid, the communication can just be a turn off for folks or at the very least add some stress for backers if they’re not expecting that lack in communication throughout the experience

Hi! Great video format! I really like all the points you make. Especially the part about the risk assessment, as it takes some research, which many backers wont do. One small constructive criticism, though: I love that you are very talkative with your hands! 🙂 but it is a bit distracting when they are mostly out of focus and often off screen. Maybe zoom out a little bit, so they are in focus and on screen?

@@shouldyoubackit ah I see - no worries then 🙂 oh, and one more thing I just noticed... on your 'Home' page you have your oldest videos first (to the left) and then your newest videos to the right. This means that your newest videos are not on screen - and the users have to press the arrow button to see them. Usually KZbinrs have it the other way around, so the laters videos show up first. Again, its a small thing - but it might help on the accessibility of your videos 🙂 Anyway, keep up the good work!

Enjoyed all your videos so far except this recommendation. After the recent Nova Aetas KS, I wouldn't recommend anything from LMS because they straight up lied on the Kickstarter page and are notorious for delays with their games. Keep up the content cause these videos are great - watching the marvel united one as I type this

Really appreciate your feedback on this, I try to do what research I can but there can and will always be things that slip through the cracks. I had seen delays on some items but from my side it seemed like they had things in hand, very helpful to hear that that may not be the case so that I can remember it for future videos.

Not particularly, the amount of money a game backs doesn't really affect my opinion too much as long as that's the amount the company needed (we've seen examples of companies under-quoting what they needed in order to get that sweet 'funded in 0.2 seconds' sticker) but I think what I said still holds up. Checking some of the comments it seems some folks are annoyed at perhaps some lack of clarity when questions are asked in the campaign and some potentially clickbaity updates but I don't want to be too quick to come to a conclusion about that.

I absulutly love Runar, I have seen several gameplay and it looks absolutely amazing but ...... big BUT.. it is a campaign-based game and I am fed up with this format where you need to be able to have the same people back a the table in order to continue, pain in the arse to store all players components as well as then remember where you left off next time you meet... why can't they make it scenario-based, so anyone can play it from any point, at any time... deal breaker for me ... I already have loads of games like that gathering dust on my shelf from sleeping Gods all the way to Oatswarn, and never even finished Gloomhaven half way though people either could not make it or got bored of it ... mostly because it is near impossible to organize regular events with same people for such big commitment! Unless you live with someone into gaming like your girlfriend!!!

That’s a really valid reason that’s super important keeping in mind. I have games in my collection that I now realise will never see the table, or will see the table once every two years which sucks. It’s always smart keeping this in mind with every game purchase.

So I have not backed LMS before because 1) Games are too big, hard to table, expensive, and flawed. And usually the game faces stiff competition in the same genre. 2) Would almost always nearly copy someones IP, which I found underhanded. This game doesn't seem to follow that trend for once.

The only thing that I can see it bearing any form of reference point to that I have in my collection is Super Fantasy Brawl but that's soley because of the PvP and team drafting element but its a super loose link. I really enjoy the gameplay of that game though so it does count as a positive and I wouldn't see it as an IP copy by any means. It does seem like a really fun title

They are meant as a paid-for public testing, second edition will fix the errors reported by people who want to live on the bleeding edge, and happily pick up the 2nd edition. Unless your life span is, like, a year, in which case you shouldn't be even on kickstarter.

Convention overload is definitely a thing, I even find that at UK Games Expo, if I'm there playing a demo on the last day I'm so tired I can barely take it all in
