This is why I love your videos, I have a brute kinda doing the same thing but the belt light isn’t on… kind of tired of throwing tons of money in it but now after watching this I feel confident in trying to look into it myself. Thank you for making these videos and being so informative!
@rockspowersports2 ай бұрын
Glad the video’s help out. If your brute force is fuel injected and is lacking power but the belt light it’s not flashing you might have a weak fuel pump. Might want to check your fuel pressure.
@bradarcher38632 ай бұрын
Appreciate that man but it actually has a new fuel pump and it is the carbureted model. It ran fine then suddenly acted like it was in limp mode but no bell light. Just haven’t had the time yet to really look into it. Very disappointing because I just recently got it back from being at the dealer for 13 months.

Amazing such a small change in shim's can have so much effect on the belt, I've read about changing king Quad gearing to be shorter by shimming sheaves closer together. So punchy, Efi has that instant throttle response, interesting Kawasaki allowed such good response, especially at low rpm, factory like that.

It really doesn’t take much to throw the clutches out of wack.. these things are very punchy, could get a newbie into some trouble if they weren’t use to it.

I don't know why but I've always had a soft spot for the brute force..I had a 2010 360 that had over 12,000 miles when I got rid of it in 2015. Bought it new. Like any machine they all have there quirks but all in all it was very reliable and only ever left me walking once when the clutch grenaded
@rockspowersports2 ай бұрын
Wow 12,000 miles is impressive for sure! I’ve only owned 1 prairie 360 in the past and I was impressed with it. It has all the same features as its bigger brothers such as the yellow lever front diff lock.
@shanegiggie2 ай бұрын
Yes sir, I put about 2500 miles a year on it. Very reliable machine a bit under powered but it was a good machine for sure. This brute seems to work fairly good for an older machine. Definitely responsive. I like the older sra ones too

Yes , First thing to do with machine you don’t know is definitely check oil , then if driving it , do a brake check is my next thing next thing and throttle check before starting , as I been caught a time or two where customer never mentioned it never had brakes or that the throttle was sticking , lucky I had time and avoided a crash,

First comment love the content what’s your thoughts on an outlander only alllowing reverse with the override button pushed down ?driving me nuts
@rockspowersports2 ай бұрын
Thanks for the comment and glad you enjoy the videos! Now when you say only allowing reverse when the override is pushed down.. do you mean it won’t allow you to move at all in reverse? Usually without the button pushed the limiter will kick in around 3000-4000rpms in reverse as a safety feature. Then when you push the override button it allows full rpms.
@johngault82442 ай бұрын
Won’t let any rpm build until I press the override then it reverses like normal

By spacers do you mean thrust washers? Isn't counter effective to remove parts and not change the belt. I can say with snowmobiles a thinning belt is not conducive to good performance

Those kind of folks keep mechanics in business, though. They just ride 'em until they break, then take them to the shop. All it takes is just the minimum amount of care and preventative maintenance to keep them going strong, but people just don't care enough about their rides to learn. That's why I never loan out my things.
