These days Cat S can simply mean a dent in rear quarter. Should be an N but because of location is an S. Good cars if for your own use.

Hey Nick Dolly trailers are a whole subject on their own, so in basic terms when using a dolly, the vehicle has to be taxed as it has two wheels are on the public road, but it doesn't need an MOT as it isn't being propelled by itself. These type of vehicles (CAT) usually lose the MOT and are stripped of the tax when registered as a CAT vehicle. You also have to consider the combined weight of the vehicle and dolly against the maximum load weight of the tow vehicle. So if buying from a normal auction then you can usually use a dolly, but a CAT vehicle usually not.

It's people like this guy who are the reason all our insurance premiums go up, he ran in to the back of me, took responsibility and then a few days later claimed I reversed in to him, that could have cost me my no claims and my premium going up next year. What it actually did was cost the insurance company to investigate, plus a hire car for every day they they took to prove it. I think people who do this should be named and shamed, especially as my insurance company proved he was in the wrong. I personally think people who lie in these situations should be prosecuted.

most peoples insurance premium goes up through claiming even though not your fault , They see it that your chances of being hit again from another driver have gone up , and your more likely to claim again,so this usually effects your insurance policy, As it was only the boot why claim, why not just get the one who did it to pay you cash for a new the boot and your labor cost, this way your insurance does not go up,as you need to work out in the long run are you going to lose out by going through insurance,

If you watched the whole video I tell you at the end that the guy who hit me admitted it on the spot and then later claimed that I reversed into him on a roundabout, so had to go through insurance, his insurance took responsibility when I pointed out that for me to cause the damage to his work van I would have had to have been on the pavement. But, I came off better for it as I received full retail value for the car, repurchased it for very little, and then was able to sell it again after a quick repair. My insurance didn't go up as it was a non-fault accident and I have protected no claims.

@@Stevesautos Might of been protected no claims,that stopped your next insurance going up, But Ive heard many cases where it was not the persons fault and even though the other person had admitted it , the others persons insurance went up, This has also been said by a insurance person who was asked about this and he gave the reasons that I stated in my first post,that the percentage of claiming again goes up once you have been hit, and this is why they put peoples insurance up, This also might depend on where you live and who you are insured by, who knows with these insurers ,

@@piecetoyou8285 I believe that a policy like a trade policy is a business category, so it works slightly differently, I've been hit twice in the past four years, the first a lot worse than this and the other party admitted liability and the insurance company confirmed that my policy would not go up the following year because of the accident, I actually changed insurance companies and I didn't have to declare any non-fault accidents.

Hey Usually Autotrader, but it really does depend on the car, for very cheap motors Facebook marketplace or gumtree, I find Autotrader gets a better price compared to Ebay.
