Dream car! You’ll find the gt3 brakes require more effort due to the difference in “boost” from the GT factory braking system. This is better on track and allows better modulation and feel. It’s a common misconception that the brakes are “worse” due to the lack of initial bite on the street at low effort brake application. Put some effort into squeezing the pedal and you will see the brakes are great! Just an adjustment from a standard 911 or bmw feel. Really comes alive on track, although a more aggressive pad will give back some of that initial bite as well.
@TommyLGarage3 ай бұрын
I didn’t think of that! Thanks for explaining.

I agree with your assessment. The brakes on the GT cars are a bit harder to use on the streets especially when they are cold. But man they brake when you need to on the track

I’m a big fan of the gt3 and nearly got a 991.2 just as you drove. In the end a cpo pts gt4 popped up and I jumped on it immediately. I have always been partial to my manual Cayman S . The one I purchased ended up being pdk but truthfully it’s still an amazing car to drive. It was my first GT car and I’m in love. That might be your ticket. Just fix the exhaust with OAP and you’re good to go. My desire for a gt3 is gone owning this vehicle.

In a strange way, while in a completely different class of vehicle, reminds me of what owning a gt3 would be like. A naturally aspirated high revving motor with continuous ear porn. My goal in life is to own a gt3. If were talking about car hacking, those gt3 cars maintain value and build. If you can get into one feasibly id say do it and donr look back. Owned many Porsches over the last 25 years. Over 400,000 miles driven in them. GT3's are special... no doubt the best sound and definitely worth lusting over, but not good daily drivers and you really need to rev them out to feel the power. I have been perfectly happy with my 911 C4S , which sounds great with a few mods and checks most of the adrenaline boxes for 99% of my driving habits. Even though I can afford it, I would not spend $100k more to own a GT3. Bragging rights to own one.. sure, but is it $100k more enjoyable than driving a carrera or carrera S? I am still not convinced. Love the car though. Porsche enthusiast and owner for life.

Owned a 991.2 T and sold it for a manual GT3. Controversial but I was disappointed - I really preferred the T for the road. It felt smaller, lighter and was way more fun at lower speeds compared to GT3. GT3 needs to be driven on the track to come alive unless you can drive constantly over 60mph.
