Should you buy an MG3 Core? Review Australia

My mum has exactly the same colour core from May 2022 but has only done 5k km. I still haven’t found cruise control on it and the wipers are not intuitive. It lacks a left foot rest and engages top gear at slow speeds so seems to lug a bit. Struggles to hold 110kmh on modest uphill with 3 adults on board. But for mum’s needs it’s fine and has not missed a beat in its easy life so far.

Yeah it doesn't have a lot of features or modern tech though it ticks the box for an affordable run about thats for sure

Hi Mike, I think there must be an error in the editing of the video as it appears to cut short at the end and may be incomplete. Was interested to hear your final take on the car after 50,000km. Also, one main difference with Excel is that occasionally you'll still see them on the road here. I very much doubt that you'll still see these MGs after the same amount of time! But the price cannot be debated. Very sharp! Thanks for your videos. Very informative.

The brakes don’t work in a serious emergency. They delay for upto 3-4 seconds. I mean do a holy crap im having a head on with a truck braking. I have driven 9 different mg3 and there all the same. I contacted the importer they are not doing anything. I contacted the factory they ignored me. I contacted the government testing dept they couldn’t be bothered, a insurance asser friend said the insurance companies know about it but don’t care. It doesn’t matter as its not their lives at risk.

The safety rating is pretty poor with these cars and being in a accident in one would be horrific, I think the 2018 model only has a one star rating.....maybe the new MG's might have improved I'm not too sure
