Very much enjoy this game. It does have a great roster, despite what it lacks in variety. Gameplay is fun. It can be cheesy at times, but if you don’t take the game too seriously, like I do, it won’t bother you as much. Story is pretty boring, but the character interactions are really great. Yugi gambling with Jotaro, Goku comparing Bakugo to Vegeta, Dai and Dragon Shiryu talking about their masters, Kakashi taking Yusuke to school, and possibly my favorite, Naruto having a good friendship with Asta, as he reminds him of Rock Lee. And I don’t give a dang what anybody says, I think Light Yagami and Kane were the best parts of the story mode. Kane actually had a backstory and character, while every interaction Light has is pretty funny to watch, because YOU KNOW the god of the new world is outplaying the entire JF team, and I love how in character he is. Galena and Prometheus are kinda just there, I wish they were utilized more effectively. The graphics are...ok. Honestly the game looks beautiful but the models could’ve used more time in the oven, except Buu, he’s animated phenomenally 👍🏻. Game does lack modes, which is a downer, but the vs and mission modes are good fun. The training mode is VERY helpful. Before you play online, warm up in Training. CAC can be really shtupid at times but I did find it very enjoyable recreating characters from stories I’ve written, and my man Sano from Rurouni Kenshin. I would give my entire experience (since day 1) a 7/10. It’s fun, has its faults, but honestly it’s a harmless game and I feel people set way too high of expectations. They should’ve seen Spike Chunsoft’s name, seen their previous games being only average at best, and set their expectations low. If it was CC2, THEN you would set high expectations because they make some of the best anime games on the market.

I really enjoyed J-stars back in the day, not much the gameplay which was kinda stiff, but still was fun and had a lot of characters i like, so i expect the same with this one

Here's my take after playing it when it first came out then for a while afterwards. Although I haven't played it for months I can say this game should only be played if it fits your needs. If you're looking for a balanced fighting and or good fighting game. Don't buy it, if you're looking for a casual game where you can play as your favorite characters with good graphics, buy it. Objectivily looking at it, this is a 3d fighting game and it has some of the worst mechanics i've seen in a fighting game. However, if you dont really like fighting games but just like the characters you'll love the game. For me personally, I think this game has the potentioal to be great but I could never play it for more then 2 hours without getting bored.

Pros 1. The characters Jump Force is basically the Smash Ultimate but with Shonen Jump Characters, it probably has one of the best Shonen rosters, there’s fan favourites, and probably some characters you didn’t even know about. 2. Events Events is what makes Online a lot more fun, you can get sweet rewards for getting a high rank in Events, which I think is a win. 3. (Switch Only) 3 v 3 I personally own the switch version, I’ve played with friends with singular joy-cons, it’s sooo fun, you get to cooperate with your team and make good combos with both, at first it was a bit tricky to figure out the controls, but we had a blast 4. Avatar Customisation The ability of making your own characters in Jump Force is outstanding, you can make characters from your favorite animes that aren’t in the main roster, or go can go crazy with the outfits. 5. Character interactions During story mode, I really like some of the character interactions, like how Ryo helps Deku train to become stronger, and how the old big 3 and dragon ball react with each other, it’s just great. Cons: 1. Repetitive gameplay There’s a huge problem during battles, and that’s the problem of repetitive game play, sure it may not be a bother to other people, but don’t you sometimes get tired of seeing the same combos over and over again in battles? 2. CAC’s in battle I know I’m not the only one to say that CAC’s can be a bit ridiculous in Online Battles, when you set abilities you can set after effects of that ability, which is SUPER annoying. 3. Toxic players online As Enigma said, if you’re new, AVOID ONLINE UNTIL YOU KNOW THAT YOU’RE READY Jump Force online is super toxic, if you’re on a console besides switch, get ready for some hate speech from other players, it’s not pretty sometimes. 4. No Gamemodes The lack of other gamemodes in Jump Force kinda sucks, I know that’s why they have events, but why can’t you make Tournaments and Raid boss battles available to everyone? I get confused over it. I wish they would follow Smash ultimates concept and host events with game mods that are already available IF they weren’t only Event Gamemodes. 5. Storymode, oh boy. Storymode in my opinion is god Awful, I really think they should have come up with a better story, I don’t like the cutscenes, I don’t like the lazy animation, it’s just not good at all. Requests to spike: 1. Costume variation between characters, When I say this, I want characters like Luffy or Gon to wear outfits that they’ve worn before, like Luffy’s Dressrosa outfit, or Gon’s fully clothed outfit. 2. Trade system This hasn’t really been discussed, but I would like to see a CAC trade system where you can trade outfit items. 3. More variety in attacks What I mean by this, is that for each character, you can change it out for other abilities, like for example with Luffy, you can change Gear 4th attack to Snakeman King Cobra, or one of gons buff attacks to a fishing pole attack. Final thoughts: Overall, I give the game a 7/10, sure it lacks good quality in some areas, the gameplay during fights is actually really good, and entertaining. But this is solely my opinion, don’t go hating on my opinion just because you don’t like what I said.

I bought it about 2 weeks after launch and I can say the story was dry for me. I did like the interactions the characters had thru it but like many have stated. It did seem under developed and could've used some more time. What's kept my love for the game is the PvP. Having friends who enjoy anime and then fighting with those characters we love is truly what makes this game shine. Goku vs Naruto. Zoro vs ichigo. All might vs kinshiro. I feel that alone sold the game too me. The story was a minor let down but I didn't have high expectations considering trying to join those worlds makes for a tough story too create.

Pros: JF offline multiplayer is really fun It has a roster of well known characters (mostly) There are a good amount of events to keep players interested Cons: U can’t change your character once you’re already in one session with your friends There is like no stamina mechanics so u can escape anything with no consequences The character customization isn’t the greatest So overall, I think JF is more good aesthetically and for when you just want a fun game to play

5 Pros 1-Online with Friends is ridiculously fun especially when choosing random characters that can help expand your knowledge of each character’s basic combos 2-Most characters that have very high damage in their combos usually have lower health (Shishio, Aizen, etc.) 3-A recent update nerfed the most annoying types of supers people online spam 4-The roster is only getting bigger with DLCs introducing game changing abilities 5-Most characters that aren’t in the game. You can make your CAC look like that character. For example I have made Kuwabara, Spike, Rock Lee, Jin Mori, and Obito. You can even make Itachi. 5 Cons 1-Most (not all) Players online in ranked will use every kind of cheesy spamming knowledge to beat you so be prepared how to counter their playstyle. (It helps to match up with a high rank player that doesn’t cheese and add them so you can learn how to counter these types of cheesy players) 2- Watch out for stupid super armer or supers that don’t allow you to attack the player such as Red Hawk, Cell Barrier, Detroit Smash, Carolina Smash, Most of Asta’s moves, Chidori, Lightning Blade, Rasengan, Kamehameha, Galick Gun, Death Beam, Dragon of The Darkness Flame, etc 3- WATCH OUT FOR THE GUARD BREAK CHEESE (GBC). Players online will often use supers to keep you blocking for an easy guard break. Some characters like Asta and Toguro can GBC without using supers. 4- Watch out for Grab ults specifically these characters: Kakashi, Cell (sometimes inescapable), Todoroki (sometimes inescapable), Dio, and I believe that names the inescapable ones Others that are escapable but land if you don’t have stamina include Goku, Sasuke, Yoruichi, etc. 5-Ik some players are okay with this but I’m not. Watch out for players R3ing you. This is when a player has an awakening meter and presses R3 (right stick) to awaken mid combo. This makes it harder for you to escape. Some people also use to GBC you too when doing a team awakening. My Last Tips: If you are looking for fun. Do not play the story mode (Free Missions are okay). Another thing....DO NOT PLAY ONLINE RANKED UNTIL YOU HAVE MASTERED THE BASIC MECHANICS AND HAVE FOUND A CHARACTER YOU ARE GOOD WITH (meaning able to do 40%-190% damage). You must prepare for Salty PSN messages and other forms of rage when losing or winning online. It helps to continue to get better at this game with a friend so keep trying to get better.

Pros: Favorite characters to play from major series. Beautiful graphics and models. The games longevity is definitely in sight. Fun special dialogue between characters from the same series or other series. Fun customization for an avatar. Cons: Play styles that make moldy cheese look tasty. Story still left on cliffhanger. Some series have 1 character representation. Xbox still needs online support. Not much to keep people playing outside of online play or playing with friends or events.

Pros: 1)super fun with friends! When you swap and play with the roster you find fun things all the time and laugh a lot. (One time I was totally winning and I went %90 to zero when Cell’s ult hit and we both just kept laughing) 2) roster match ups are great if you don’t focus on just what’s “meta”. Like he said steer clear of ranked and what not. Just do you! 3) The events based on clan to PVE are fun (imho) 4) the DLC roster is good 5) the response to the community is on the up Cons: 1) Online is terrible against strangers... most play sweaty as if they’re getting paid. 2) Xbox especially has input problems... idk what it is but sometimes you’ll jump instead of use an ult, or you’ll just sit there clicking Right Thumbstick to awaken and take damage like a moron. 3) escape meta is irritating... people like to run. But agreements to charge up and then fight make it more fun and then it kinda goes away. 4) fighting still only 3v3. Haven’t made that adjustment mostly yet. 5) story, challenges, and side quests are very lacking... if you care about it like I do then it’s a bummer... though most don’t. I keep coming back to the game though! Although waiting on a new controller cuz my LB popped off during the Raid Boss loo

Thank you so much, watching this video feels like I can finally lay out my opinions, I was so pressured by other youtubers saying the game is bad, but in my opinion I thought the game looked fun and had very good graphics and so I bought it. For my honest opinion though, the lip sync of the characters isn't really that good when it comes to story mode and just regular battles, but it does go out with some nice battles literally no matter what character you feel like playing. Personally I do like the way the maps were designed and how the special moves were designed aswell. On top of that, the price, the price has it's fair share of $60.00 dollars, but if it is on sale, that would be the best time to buy the game because if you are not having much fun with the game, it's good to know that you spent less than 60 dollars off this game. And on top of THAT is the characters, the character design is all out very good in my opinion, the hands do look weird as if they were french frys but it doesn't really matter. Now if you are looking for the best team in jumpforce I recommend using Ichigo, Zoro, and for the 3rd character I would just pick my favorite character, Naruto for example, he's not the best character in jump force but he is my favorite anime character and I feel comfortable using him. So basically what i'm trying to say is to pick 2 of the best jumpforce characters and then pick the 3rd one as your favorite. Although if you take the game seriously and you want to use 3 of the BEST characters from jump force I recommend using Ichigo, Zoro, and Killua, or instead of Killua choose Sasuke either one is better than good. Now the WORST characters for my opinion are Kurapika, Vinsmoke Sashi, Gon, and Kaguya. I don't recommend using these characters as a beginner start off. And however if you bought money for a DLC character, I recommend buying Seto Kaiba, Madara is good but not the best, If you REALLY want to blow your money on a very good DLC character I would buy Seto Kaiba or Grimmjow Jaegerjaquez, and if you wanna buy 2 DLC characters I would definitely get those 2, but it is your money so if you have no interest in those 2 characters then you can buy whatever you're comfortable using. And if you're gonna play story mode I recommend hopping into an offline battle first to warm up and get the feel of the characters and get used to them and then after that you can hop onto story mode. My friend told me to do that and I felt like such a pro hopping into story mode. But you can also warm up in story mode by just going through the battles part of the story. Also for those who don't know, you have the option to customize your story mode character, and to be honest that's one of the reasons why I bought this game. And once you think you're ready and you have finished story mode and got the feel of your main characters, then you can play online, like Enigma said, online battles are sweaty and I actually agree 100%. Online is filled with all out skilled players just like any other online anime game. Although if you are pure pressured into not buying this game, just remember that it is their opinion on the game not yours, so if you really like this game and if you are 100% positive that you're gonna love this game then I would most definitely buy this game. But if you're just looking for any anime game I would probably want to check out this game Jumpforce and any Naruto storm game and Dragon Ball FighterZ. I heard of Jump Force since late 2018, or I think when Asta and Deku were confirmed, tho before I didn't really had my Xbox so I never really cared for what the game had lmao. The first gameplay I saw was a All Might DLC gameplay and honestly, I said the renders looked ugly, then around September 2019, my friend had the game for ps4 and I tried it out and the gameplay wasn't that bad, I only played it a few times and I decided to get my own around December 2019 and it was at full price ($60). I felt bad for calling the renders ugly 😂😂. Despite on how the bad the story is, I really love this game and how Spike is patching a couple of stuff. I still play it to this day and it will never get boring.

If you are taking any kind of chip damage you cannot awaken. There is a 0 damage chip that ticks down after you have been attacked and continues until you move. This creates a sort of hidden momentum mechanic in fights. You're welcome. Similarly; If you are taking damage,(not chip) you can 'defensively' awaken. This burns your guage faster than normal. Still not sure if any other effects occur.

I got the deluxe edition and do not regret my purchase. It’s a fun little bash of popular anime characters licking the tar out of each other. Not to mention that it actually got me to watch two anime that had never even been on my radar: One Piece and Black Clover. I originally got it because of how much I was enjoying Bleach: Brave Souls on iOS and I heard that the deluxe edition had six popular Bleach characters including my boys Toshiro Hitsugaya and Grimmjow. Eventually I decided to play more characters and had a blast with characters from shows I’d never even watched like Zoro, Asta, Bakugo, and characters I was still becoming used to like DIO. I was apprehensive with all the reviews, but I don’t even play online outside of MOBAs so this is still a fun game in my eyes.

Jump Force pros and cons? Pros - Easy to pick up and just hit buttons. -Great graphics and flashy abilities. -If you're in it for the anime then get it. If you're competitive get it. If you're used to for honor toxicity, welcome home.. Cons - Barely any patches like enigma said. -lots of players abuse the mechanics and supers of the game ALL THE TIME. Which can quickly ruin any fun. -Most important con is the private matches. It's 1 on 1 with no lobby for other players like tekken or MK.

Seriously enjoyed this review. Super honest and very good pros and cons listed. Just picked mine up at GameStop for $20 and honestly…pretty happy with the purchase. Really impressed with the execution of the game. I personally like the graphics. I did get mauled my first online game though but shouldn’t have expected anything less from a fighting game😅. I find it much more entertaining and enjoyable when you don’t take the game as seriously (like you stated in the description) and just enjoy the game for what it is. I am very happy I purchased the game in 2021 because I know it was super buggy upon first release. Still, there’s a lot of things I would really like to see such as more added characters, additional story, bonus content, etc. But considering that it’s my first fighting game I’ve played since I don’t even know how long, I’ve been enjoying the mechanics of it and the games entirety.

I made the mistake of going straight to Online fights the day I got the game. I have never been so frustrated with a game in my life. I SERIOUSLY should’ve practiced before I did it, I’d win 1 game every like 30+ matches. I was terrible. I played offline mode for a bit and got the hang of it real quick. Within just a few days of offline gameplay I was able to win online fights more. Now, with 500+ hours on Jump Force, all I play is Online and have a blast.

Pros- nice gameplay, create your own character, fight like you’re literally your favorite anime character, create a variety of different combos, and you’ll be satisfied smashing your opponents in either quickmatch or ranked, and you have a great amount of characters to choose from if you get bored with most of them so overall this game can be extremely fun Cons: the lag is sometimes unbearable, the story is underwhelming, the cheesers with no skill will ruin your experience, repetitive gameplay

I started playing recently, and to be honest the game is really fun but don't go there expecting that there are all the anime characters you're thinking about, ofc there are a whole lot from super good titles (animes) so the characters won't be a problem. About the lobby, the lobby is kinds crappy and a bit laggy on my opinion, but only on the online lobby, because when you get into the game it'll ask you if you wanna play online or offline, the lobby needs to get better not on the design, or graphics or illumination or whatever, but they need to optimize it(But it's only laggy on the online one due to the people on it that aren't even that much) Can you play with friends? At least I can but the easiest way is to get in to the same lobby as them, I'm not sure if you can play against a friend if you guys are not in the same lobby there's an option on the online match called friendly match where you can invite friends, but I have never used it so look deep into it (Please do not feel influenced by what I just stated, I'm simply not sure, but you can look more deep into it) but if you live close to your friend it won't be a problem (due to region and servers) to get in the same lobby as him and if you do, just go next to him, get the little yellow arrow on top of him by just looking at him, then click square (on PS4) and boom then it'll tell u everything about your friend or the person u clicked in and then u can challange him into a match, but if you're not looking to play with other people even better, u can pick the offline option when u start the game and just do missions, play against bots (there's at leafs 4 difficulties), keep following the "story" and blah blah blah, the fighting is really good, it's not a rip-off of any games like Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 4, or an alike fighting game, of course there is some alike stuff like dashing into your enemie, changing characters, but that's all I'm prolly missing like 1 or 2 things alike but that's it it'd totally not a rip-off on my opinion, the fighting style it's fun, isn't laggy (on consoles at least, if you're on a pc it depends on your specs and remember you can always upgrade them, unless you're on a laptop) it has gorgeous graphics, it's really, really fun, everytime you hit a special attack you get just so hypped because either of the difficulty, or simply the super duper mega good animations, there animes in there like: Hunter x Hunter, Bleach, Black Clover, Yu-Gi-Oh, Samurai X, One Piece, JoJo's and some more that I don't remember very well but there are more and you'll be able to unlock more characters with the time, and on my opinion the game is biginner friendly when it comes to explaining the fighting style, story and lobby just pay the least of attention in to the cutscenes and what they tell you and if you're still reading this, here comes the best part if you like costomization.. YOU CAN CREATE YOUR OWN CHARACTER! Picking if you want a female or a male can then costumize their body, like muscles, face, jaw, hair, eyes, pupils, features like painting on your faces (for example what Naruto has on his cheeks or what Sasuke gets on his face when he goes psycho mode but theres way more than this), ears, eyebrows, nose and you can pick the color you want their skin, eyes, hair, u can out highlights on their hair with different colors and some more cool stuff on the costomization and then depending on which team you pick (every team has mixed anime universes but it won't affect playing with friends or anything u just pick a team) you get the powers from the characters of that team for example I picked narutos that has him, Kakashi, Sasuke, and Trenks, my powers that I remember were rasengan, and an ultimate I from and 2 more powers I forgot, but then you csn just buy more powers with the money you get from missions and stuff and you can also buy, clothes like tops, bottoms, shoes, accessories and a lot more like what girls use from her feet to their tighs like those high ass socks and yeah and remember all the body features I stated there like hair and stuff are all inspired in anime characters or most but yeah I think that's all about jump force but something, do not buy the game when it isn't sale cuz it'd 60 whole bucks there are times it gets at 30 or 15 (on ps4 at least) so be patient and remember the performance issues I stated were because I play in a ps4 if you have like a ryzen 9 with a RTX2070 you won't have problems running the gsme but the only issue I found due to performance was in the online lobby and that's it I hope this helped u guys :).

I do personally enjoy this game but it’s easy to see it’s not aging well for instance you play as a character with a sword you’ve played all the characters with swords. This game can just be down right repetitive at times and can get boring after a while. But there are some good things about it like graphics the game is easy for those who are getting into the fighting game genre and it has all the characters from your favorite anime’s and has dlc characters that 100% worth buying. So yes you should buy it but just buy the dlc shortly after you buy the full game because the matches can get very repetitive and boring after a while.

Hey I could buy this game at 10€ so I'm considering it. I love hard and technical games, my favourite fighting game is Tekken. My main tekken character has 170+ moves so I feel like this game might be a bit too simple, is it? (And long movelists aren't the only thing that makes tekken hard) Is there any character with a gameplay which is not straightforward and that can put the opponent in some interesting mind games? Then is the game balanced? Oh btw I'm not really an anime enthusiast but of course I remember many characters from my childhood (I LOVE Kakashi) but yeah I almost exclusively care about the gameplay.

I am super interested in buying, just wanna know what the tournament community is like, I know it's region dependent as hell but finding like minded people to play with, locally, is my biggest problem with "new" fighting games. I grew up in arcades dumping quarters in Street Fighter Third Strike and learning Capcom vs SNK 2 at home with school friends on the OG Xbox. Online doesn't really make me giddy, anonymity makes most of these kids fucking painful to deal with. I couldn't even deal with DBFZ, Soul Calibur 6 or Tekken 7 because the locals just weren't there. It feels like Fighting games are dying off again, the social aspects and camaraderie are basically MIA. Like I would love to buy Jump Force and just beat down with friends, but I don't have any friends in the FGC lmao. Without THAT, it seems like a waste. But here I am, talking about it, getting excited at the idea, and I know if I pull the trigger I will be let down again, and honestly bros, that makes me sad AF.
