Great commentary, my friend, I bought the trail 125 with absolutely no intention of ever taking it off road, it’s my daily ride, really enjoy it Around town and the city, great utility with the large rack on the back

I bought my 2023 Honda Trail 125 a week ago. Cold weather and snow have kept me from riding it much yet but already the three short rides down to the cafe at the end of the street have reinforced my decision to buy it. I've been riding a Royal Enfield Himalayan off-road in the mountains of Central Pennsylvania. As my 70th birthday approaches I've noticed an increased wariness riding alone off-road in places without cell coverage. I recognize the potential issues. And I've begun to wonder if my old back will allow me to pick up the motorcycle if I should drop it. So I figured the Honda Trail 125 might be a good addition to the fleet. If nothing else, it makes the Himalayan seem like a rocket ship. Seriously though, any misgivings about riding alone will vanish with the Honda. And the "slowness" of the Trail 125 will engender a different sort of adventure. I'm looking forward to the snow and mud to vanish so I can find out if my predictions about the bike come true. You've touched on a lot of the reasons why this bike makes a lot of sense for people. I hope to ride mine for a long time. Long after my heavier motorcycles may have to leave.

I want to see a 200 - 250cc version to keep up with traffic on the short stretches of expressway that become necessary when navigating mid-sized cities.

Yea, there's a lot of sacrifices on the navi comparatively. I think the MSRP on the Trail is fair. It's the dealer fees that are trash.

Inventory seems to be better than it used to be so everyone should buy one (or three). I paid nearly $1k over sticker for my 2023 but I am also in California.

I had to re-upload due to a copyright issue. A car playing music in the distance snuck into one of the clips. It's all fixed now. You may still be crazy though. This isn't definitive proof 😋.

I just bought one and haven't taken delivery yet, but I'm sure I will love it. I'm a fairly old guy (83) and can't muscle the big bikes around anymore. I've been riding something since I was 18...too many to remember them all. I currently have a Rebel 500 which I love, but as small as it is, it still weighs too much for me to pick up if it should fall for one reason or another. It's definitely too big for even mild trail riding. The 125 should be great for my age and purpose. I plan to sell the 500 this year sometime. It's a super fun bike to ride...very spirited for a 500.
