I ordered a claw,,,have a rog ally and steam deck,,just will be nice to have something different,,,without a AMD chip inside,,,I'll make it work,,,,anyways I think updates will improve the claw,,,a shame they rushed it out

A LOT of optimization for sure. Idk if they can get it to match the AMD handhelds but we'll see.

It’s just everything I want in a handheld Great display Good ergonomics Powerful performance Large Battery Awesome controls Decent port selection If there was an 8in steam deck OLED with the performance of the 7840u it would be perfect to me.

@@jackykwan2580 not that big of a deal. Have u been to the gym? Its like working out once your muscle gets used to the weight it would start feeling light. And I have no issues with it now I even play my steamdeck oled with a power bank attached which makes heavier than kun.

I own all of the modern handhelds but the claw. I use my legion go more than any of them. I play triple AAA games and allot of emulation, like a ton of emulation lol the kickstand, performance, and size of the screen make it my absolute go to for retro. Also I fight for democracy and liberty on it when I'm not home to use my PC. For Super Earth!

Some games are just unplayable, and the games that are playable take 2x the power as the AMD handhelds

Still no. There’s still too many better AMD handhelds that it hasn’t caught up with. Plus, performance isn’t the only issue. But what is your reason for wanting one?

This thing is dead on arrival lol... I honestly feel kind of bad for MSI. Intel convinced them to use a chip that performs terribly at low TDP - this is going to leave a big stain for MSI in the handheld PC space.

Nice to see your face brother! Ya the MSI Claw is the going to be the biggest flop of the year from a major brand. OneXPlayer X1 will take second. That’s too bad. The Phawx just released a video too about how awful it it. Ouch. Everyone knew that the 155 underperforms compared to ever AMD handhelds. That’s too bad. MSI is a good brand and they made a really bad decision. I appreciate your videos man.

@@MeshySan you want to take that risk? Intel already has a bad track record for iGPU drivers. Why do you trust them now? A device isn't guaranteed to get better, so buy it for what it is not what it will be.

That power efficiency is the real deal breaker here, i honestly do not care so much if the performance is down on the ally because ive always maintained that these handhelds are only really good for indies anyway - so i could live with the lack of performance like many of us do on the steam deck but the efficiency is terrible. If you look at the spec sheet for this intel processor it actually says it needs 20w minimum and standard operating is 28w with a max of i think it was 65w possible... 20w minimum!! in a handheld and the performance at that 20w is dogshit, what were MSI thinking. There are hundreds if not thousands of games that run amazing on these things even at 4w on the steam deck allowing 12 plus hours of battery, im playing a backlog of them right now from binding of issac, enter the gungeon, balatro etc etc there are just so many that can run almost on fresh air so to be STUCK at 20w minimum lol what a colossal flop! What else would we expect from a 16 core cpu, what a complete waste of resources and power. Some other reviewers were hoping for some lower power states, i dont see it happening unless they are able to completely disable cores over the air with a bios update... probably the first mobile product line where the cheaper option will absolutely be the better option so the hardware isn't scrambling for power thanks to less cores.
