One major advantage that the rtx 3050 6gb card, is that it only consumes 70W, which means it doesn’t need any external power supply cables to it, which makes it easier to install and also being one of best performing video cards without a power supply cable, and also the 70W power requirement means, that it’ll be compatible with almost every office pc, which makes turning an office pc to a gaming pc is very easy.

I literally just bought a RTX 3060 ti that was only used for 3 months for $220 off my friend. Insane value and the performance is very good. I’m using it at 1440p and i have no complaints. The only benefit of 3050 is the DLSS. It's not even as good as a 2060 Super in terms of performance so you can forget Ray Tracing and other features such as Frame Generation are a part of 4000 series. Not buying a 3050 was a no brainer from the start

For me I think it just depends on the situation for the RTX 3050 when Zach is talking about this graphics card he only considering for the majority of PC gamers plan to upgrade from their current system, which would be using regular size case but I’m pretty sure he did not point out the low profile community for graphics card because i’m debating on getting one for my 10-year-old low profile office PC that only has Intel graphics currently the number one low profile office card to me is the RTX 4060 gigabyte low profile but for me it has two issues one is that it will definitely be bottleneck from the CPU and two to my PC power supply doesn’t come with a 8 to 6 pin GPU cable for power so I’m stuck with PCI-E power for my GP, which the RTX 3050 fits in that picture which I’m aware I could probably get myself a GTX 1650 but there are other 2 issues for that as well number one the prices in general for brand new cards they’re overpriced on Amazon and other stores and for use on eBay there’s a little overpriced, but you can still find a good ones but at least to my second issue is that my post office is pretty terrible so I do not want them to bring it to my house had this issue recently with my mom pc motherboard from eBay it was stressful. I had to order another one to a relative address an hour and 30 minutes away so for me a new RTX 3050 6g low profile looking good for my situation and I read that bottlenecking calculator and it will be bottleneck for my CPU but not as badly as the 4060 and I’m aware the extra features, the thirty5 will have, but I’ll probably most likely just stick with like dlss and that’s it

I got a prebuilt pc, its a 3050 8gb and i5 12400f processor, those are where my pc is kinda lacking. On a scale like that its not the best but i have had zero problems and i play games all the time like tarkov, stalker gamma, fallout modded to absolutely shit, cities skylines 2, dayz, you name it. If you just want a prebuilt pc, the 3050 is not a bad choice.

For any1 whos thinking of getting a 3050, i’d say its much better to play games at max settings then low-medium with dlss, my rx 6600 gets over 100fps with max settings in almost every game i throw at it (even with ray tracing)

Been using RTX 3050 8GB for 2 years now. Honestly, I don't get the hate everyone is giving the card. i can play most games, AAA titles, take advantage of Nvidia Broadcast, Nvenc codecs, Raytracing in AI models. Its still killing it. It pushes everything to 60 Fps at high-ultra settings and even above for most games. The only downside I feel is I have a high Refresh rate monitor, which I can't fully utilize in games.

I need help for a gaming laptop. So I got my Asus tuf gaming laptop about a few months ago and it has some issues: I think that it's capable of having a better performance because it has a 4050rtx i7 12620 and 16 gigs of DDR4 ram. For example, one day I would have 300fps max graphics on Fortnite and CoD, but on another day I would have 32-50fps on a performance mod. My drivers are all updated and the laptop is on a performace mod but I didn't try to update BIOS and I didn't check if my RAM is the issue because I'm a beginner in computers, I don't know what I am doing and I don't want to mess it up to make this even worse. I need help because I payed for my laptop 1200 Euros. While that may be a terrible price for these components, it's because there is a shortage of gaming products so the prices are higher. Looking at this makes me head spin. Have you ever tried capping the FPS limit? Try that. Fortnite is known to have crappy 1% FPS lows. Or maybe the performance mod you're using is faulty?

Main problem with this: yes fine the 3050 has raytracing, but unfortunately it's not really viable for use when actually raytracing, since it has 8GB. I've tried raytracing on a 4GB card, and it performed horribly. So thus I come to the conclusion 8GB is entry level raytracing (if you don't mind playing on 30fps for most titles). And the more VRAM is available, the better your performance will be.

The sole reason you might want a 3050 is if you want to use RTX Super Resolution for videos and need a cheap card to do that for you, other than that In that price range the rx6600 is much better and the ARC580 (if higher consumption is fine with you) is extremely better
