Thank you for video! Just bought this chair for 65$. Chair is 10+ years old, but works perfect, all mechanisms all in perfect state (except armrests, fixators on one of them are broken, but it's ok).

BTOD also gave high ratings (A-tier) for the Steelcase Leap and the Steelcase Amia. Can you provide your take on these chairs and how they compare with the Gesture? Even though you reviewed the Stealcase Please in this video, you gave props to the Steelcase Gesture which they also gave an A rating. Are the two other Steelcase chairs the same as the Gesture in terms of ergonomics and better than both versions of the Steelcase Please? Would you give any chair an S-tier rating in terms of ergonomics? BTOD seems to be basing their ratings on comfort for long work sessions and suitability for different height ranges.

Hi Olivier, your video are really interesting and I've bought a please Air (the mesh version). It's a great chair so far, but I found something that is not really comfortable. In fact, the elbow rest is particularly stiff. It is certainly very resistant but after several hours of work/play sessions I found myself with elbows pain at the support point. Before buying the Please Air, I tried the classic Please and I am 100% sure that the elbow rest was much softer, yet they should be identical! Is this something you've also noticed in Please Air?

Hey! I haven't noticed this, but I know that some chair manufacturers have different armrests types for the same chair. Could it be the case for you?

@@OlivierGirard I really dont know, maybe I'll send an email to the dealer who sold me the Please. I saw your video on gaming posture and it helped me a lot with the sore on elbow, maybe i was just placing my arms with bad behaviour :p Thanks for the answer anyway!

Hi,thanks for your interesting video. I want to buy an Steelcase chair but I'm not sure whether to buy the Please,the Gesture or the Leap version.For someone with an inpingement in the lower back area,which one would yor recommend? I work at home using the computer for at least four hours per day and mesure 1,74 cm and weigh 84 kgms.Thanks!

I would recommend the Gesture. I really think it's better than the Please. I never sat on the Leap yet (barely available here in Europe) but it's an older design. Gesture has everything a good chair needs to have. Sit on it, and see for yourself how you feel on it...

Because of my size and weight, and the amount of time I spend in my chair, I am looking at the KAB Seating K4 chair as it's rated for 200kg and made for use where it's in use 24h a day. It seems to have all the adjustments, except maybe height of the arm rests. Have you ever looked at KAB Seating's chairs?

I know the 24 hour chairs of course... but not from this brand. Here in Switzerland, I have sat more on BMA chairs (at least as far as I remember). But their website looks good, and it seems that you can find something great there. Just make sure that - you watch this video first: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fne0Yn-QotWZi68 - you test it before buying it ;)

@@OlivierGirard I actually contacted Kinnarps about two of their chairs and they forwarded my message to the closest dealer, and he did not recommend their chairs as they are rated for much less weight than I need, and said they will start out fine, but then get more and more loose and noisy as they wear down. So he recommended the KAB Seating on instead and said he was coming to my town to deliver stuff and could take it with him so I could try it, and he also brought with him one of the Kinnarps ones that I had inquired about, and it was ok, but the KAB Seating noe was so much more comfortable for me. I just felt like it fit me perfectly when I had adjusted it, and much more sturdy. So now I just need to save up, for from the chairs I've tried, that's the best so far. And it's actually rated for more than I weight, so it will hopefully not get worn down mechanically so fast.

I’m 196cm,83kg. Currently I’m using Arron B. But it lacks of seat and lumbar adjustment, also it cuts into my shoulder blades. Steelcase please looks like pretty long chair do u think it would be a better choice?

Possibly. Otherwise, I recently had a close look at the Kinnarps 9000 and realized that it has quite some options that make it very suitable for taller people.

I live in Europe, do you think it is the best chair I can buy, or it will depend on each body. I measure 1.74 cm and weigh 60 kg I can't find the Kinnarps Plus 8 in Europe, do you have a store in the US?

@@championdark970 Indeed, I don't see a Kinnarps dealer in Spain. There's in France, Netherlands, Switzerland at least but not in your country. If you find a Steelcase dealer, I would try and sit on a Gesture rather than a Please... but don't buy without testing first, this model or any other...
