Probably not going to happen but I already want this to get another set down the road, given the noticeable absence of certain characters (Air Shakur, El Condor Pasa). That said, holy **** the leader card prices are through the roof. Thank god there aren't any leaders worth bothering over.

are the Umamusume sets necessary to keep up with the game? I'm still a bit confused where they fit into the grander picture. Or is this like lyrical monestario in vanguard?

There's only 1 Uma set and yeah there's competetive staples in the set for every class. Just buying singles is a good way to do it if you're just playing 1 or 2 classes. I go over a bunch of them in the video I linked in the description. Perhaps it warrants its own vid? 🤔

Essentially you can make an Uma deck that has ONLY Uma cards but you can mix classes. You can also use any Uma card normally for whatever class they are (for example you can put the Silent Suzuka from the starter in any Forest deck)

Depends on the class that you like to play , for example there are staples for Swordcraft in Umamusume that will be staples for 2 more sets. Look for the craft that you like and see if they need an upgrade and buy just singles.

Rune and Forest have a few cards in Uma that fix key weaknesses with either deck but you're not at all punished for not playing a deck full of horses.

It looks like Spell Rune and Forest got the largest buffs through class Uma cards. Rune got Agnes Tachyon which helps control the board early game along with extra copies of Angelic Snipe and Surefire Bullet while Forest got a mini Forte, more mid game removal, and extra early game self-bouncers. Sword and Abyss seemed to get nothing from their class Uma cards unfortunately.

Does Shadowverse have an 'eternal' format a la EDH from MTG? Interested in playing, but not looking to keep up with Standard formats.

TCG Shadowverse has only been around for about a year in JP and 3 sets in ENG there's not even close to enough time for alternate formats to be a thing yet.

Shadowverse doesn't have rotation , they only ban cards , in Asia cards from Set 1 are still relevant 5 to 6 sets in.

I don't believe they're doing rotation of this game Jp. Hell, some people believe Shadowverse Worlds. Eyond is dropping the rotation idea too. Anyways, Dragon decks still play Forte 8 sets in. A set 2 spell is still played. Longevity is the game

Honestly nows a great time to get in. Like others have said, there's currently no rotation 8 sets in Japan and some cards now will still be used for many sets to come. 👍

I wouldn't say it's strictly promotional since Uma is an S tier deck and will be for a while, especially since there's a lot of cards in the booster set that are good for their respective crafts. However - as far as we've seen - the Uma only deck hasn't gotten support yet for the Japanese release
